Scales and Arpeggios [R.T. Baku x C.T. Ikari]

Ikari was lucky her parents were never home. And by the time they got home, they assumed she was asleep and didn't actually check on her. Because they would find her room empty, and the window open. Her bedroom was on the first floor, so there was no need for such theatrics as creating a rope out of bedding. Her white hair had already been combed out of her (in her opinion, ridiculous) updo, so that it fell to its true length, just below her shoulder blades. She was already making her way into the Territory of the Hard Rock Trolls. The route was surprisingly short once you learned the shortcuts. Being a Classical Troll, she would normally stick out like a sore thumb, but she... acquired suitable clothing the first time she had snuck in here. She wore black skinny jeans that had random tears in the fabric. Fishnets peaked out wherever these rips in the fabric were. Along with that was a tattered-looking crop top (also black) that had a skull on it. Completing the look was a pair of fingerless gloves, and a fake septum piercing. It had to be fake, of course, her parents would flip otherwise.

She breathed a sigh of relief when she finally made it across the border undetected. She always got a little nervous when she did so. After all, if they got a good enough glimpse of her skin, it would be a dead giveaway. She had a slight yellowish tint to her skin, and hints of sparkles freckled across her skin. The formation was slightly different with every Classical Troll. Hers were concentrated across the bridge of her nose, she shoulders, and her hips. This was why she always came at night. Under the cover of darkness, everyone's skin looked darker than it was, and when she was under the florescent lights of a concert, it was even more difficult to tell. The only thing that was a big giveaway was the purple amethyst gemstones that framed the outer corners of her eyes. She was born with them, and therefore could do nothing about them. Good thing most Rock Trolls assumed they were voluntary ornamentation.

This was far from the first time Ikari would be making this trip. She remembered the first time like it was yesterday. She had been exploring outside her own home (she wasn't allowed to, but that had never stopped her before), and she had heard a group of trolls practicing their music. She had never heard anything like it before, so she had wandered closer, being careful to stay hidden. Then she saw them: the Rock Trolls. They were absolutely mesmerizing. She couldn't take her eyes off the main performer. Not only was he cute, but he had such... presence. Something she could only dream of. And their music! It was unlike anything she had ever heard before. It made her piano at home seem boring! This was... wonderful! Ever since, she would sneak out of her house as often as she could, and make her way to the closest concert. She had made sure to acquire a disguise early on, though it had evolved quite a bit since then.

It didn't take long for her to find the closest concert. Rock concerts tended to be much louder than Classical ones. She wasted no time weaving her way into the large crowd, as she slipped her way through to the front. She always wanted to be as close to the music as she could get. And Ikari was smaller than Rock Trolls. Getting through the crowd was easy. Once she was closer, she was able to see who was performing, and her breath caught in her throat. She recognized him immediately; the boy who had been the cause of this obsession that her parents would surely disapprove of. She had never been this close to him before... She released the breath she had been holding, and forced herself to stop thinking like that. Eventually, she was able to just enjoy the music, and party with the rest of them. Honestly, she did a pretty good job blending in with the others, and before long, she forgot that she wasn't supposed to be here.
