"*Fuck*, Tensō, this party is lame. Why'd we have to come to this stupid thing again?" Dokusei groaned as his bandmate pushed a cup into his hand, raising an eyebrow at the green haired boy that had been bitching since the moment they walked in the door. The poor girl didn't get enough anything to deal with him, honestly. Tensō sighed and used her quirk to duplicate his drink for herself, taking a sip. "Because it's for the battle. They want us to get aquatinted to the other bands for publicity beforehand. They think it'll be good for us, considering how bitchy you are. Now go have fun, I'm going to flirt with the cute girls from Seiai."

Dokusei could barely get a word out before his so-called friend was gone into the crowd, earning a scoff from the ill-tempered boy. Well this was shit. He'd never been one for parties, or really /any/ social settings for that matter. He barely tolerated school, let alone parties. Dokusei adjusted his mask some, making sure it was working properly so as to not hurt himself or any one else here. That'd certainly be one hell of a buzzkill.

Speaking of buzzkills, where the hell were the rest of his band members? God, it was like herding cats. Too busy enjoying themselves instead of making an appearance and getting outta here, typical. When U.A. had announced they were looking for a band to compete in the yearly highschool battle of the bands, Dokusei had jumped at the opportunity. He got a few friends together and went through the process to *finally* be the band that would represent U.A.. Most people wouldn't peg Dokusei as someone who sang, let alone sing lead, but here he was. He sang all original songs that he wrote, and because of his quirk, he had just enough throat damage to make his voice raspy enough to make it sound good. Funny how those things work out, hm?

Speaking of bands, there was one he had yet to see, and thankfully so. Shiketsu highschool's band, specifically their lead, was absolutely loathesome. Thought, Dokusei didn't exactly know why he hated her so much, but he, and both of their fans knew they hated each other. It was a type of unspoken rivalry he supposed, where they didn't publish the reason for the disgust they had towards one another, but everyone knew it was going on. But what did Dokusei hate more than Ikari? The fact that people were shipping them, due to their hatred for one another. It was stupid! Why would they ship two people that obviously wanted nothing to do with each other? It made his blood boil, but he tried not to dwell on it, not wanting to walk out of the place just thinking about seeing her here.

It wasn't long before Dokusei had drifted back to one of his bandmates, their drummer nonetheless. Kana was busy laughing with some of the other drummers, startled by Dokusei tapping her shoulder. "Oh, are you having fun, Mr. grumpy pants? Don't see your girlfriend anywhere around here, I'm sure you'll find her somewhere eventually." The boy grumbled, face reddening with anger and embarrassment, only because she poked fun at him in front of others. "I'm just playing, brat. Go away, go have fun or something. Or better yet, just go away from people you know. They want good publicity, go make some." She shooed him off, leading him to go find a wall to lean against for the time being, scanning the crowd for familiar faces.
