How did it come to this?
All Izuku had ever wanted was to be a hero like he had seen on the tv shows his 'brother' watched, wanted to be like their favorite All Might. All he wanted was to be able to protect the family and other people--
Why were they yelling, screaming at him? Why was his brother scared of him? Why was his father angry, while his mother looked on with fear as she called the cops on him?
He was only practicing punches on the air in the dark while everyone was sleeping-- he wasnt disturrbing anyone, anything!!
Of course he ran-- he tried to be inconspicuous as he finally left the neighborhood, and once he was in the city proper, he tried to find shelter from the rain that had begun. He was cold, wet-- he felt it, among all the things he had up til now-- and it was unpleasant. It felt like he could die-- shut down. He wasnt human, why call it dying? What was he?
He kept walking a good while-- he'd abandoned his ring indicator long ago, using an abandoned screwdriver he found in the first alleyway he tried to tuck himself into-- so.... He was basically human. From what his father told him, time and again, he was special, unique-- custom. So.... He really couldn't change anything about himself besides the light. Hopefully no one would recognize him right away?
He'd seen a few cop cars pass by, and he was glad they didn't stop, or turn around after passing him. It was almost dawn now-- how far had he gone? There were neon lights illuminating the streets, the puddles providing broken reflections. He tried to look at himself in one, but with a halo of neon behind him, it seemed impossible. He continued on until he found an alleyway with a fire escape that bore textured levels, rather than grates, and tried to hide himself under there, among the melting boxes and trash.
.... He was trash now, wasn't he? Unwanted, unloved.... H
How long would he make it on his own? Humans had so many IDs, so much paperwork-- unless he tried to make himself seem like a foreigner, he might not be able to get a job under the table, either. He didn't know what to do-- he was cold, wet, and the only warmth he had came from the hot tears that began to join the wet from the rain on his cheeks.
What had he done wrong?

They had followed Bakugou Katsuki since he'd found them all. Whether he was directly responsible for their awakening, or just found them before the authorities could, he'd proven himself a fierce protector and leader even if he seemed so rough from an outside perspective. They freed androids weekly, raided stores for their bottles of blood. They weren't exactly thriving, but they were getting by. They were surviving that had to be good enough for now, until they were able to pull something larger off. They had too many child models, and not enough capable adult models to help them in a larger raid unless they planned it perfectly. Bakugou, too rough for the public, stayed at Jericho and planned. He had sent a rescue team to deal with any strays they found, or tearing apart those terrible human associations that did unspeakable things that he once upon a time took care of on his own.
The current team prowling the streets was the B-Squad, as they liked to call themselves, with Mina, their more personable android, leading the way. She was great with child models and newly awakened androids, so they usually had her interact first, and if that didn't work they always had Hanta. They were currently following a trail left by a newly awakened android, using trackers another of Jericho's members had put together after a night of downloading countless programming and engineering files. Mina was ahead of them all, as she often was in these expeditions, even as they were pelted with rain and trying to keep her near just in case the android they were after turned violent unprovoked. She never listened.
She turned into an alleyway, at first seeing nothing, but then her eyes locked onto an out of place patch of green in the washed out greys, reds and blacks of the wet alley. Now, she made an effort to silence her footsteps as Katsuki had taught her so long ago, ducking around the fire escape, hands out and palms up in a non-threatening pose. Mina was a companion model, she didn't look imposing or threatening, and for these missions she always did her best not to as well, so she hoped the little android they'd been tracking wouldn't be too afraid, "Hi there!" she greeted, all bright grins and bubble gum pink hair, "Are you lost, sweetie?" she shifted her hair a bit, exposing the ring indicator still in her temple, manually dimmed by their resident tech genius when she said she'd rather not remove it, "Because if you are, we can find you." She opened those piercing yellow eyes of hers that her old....owner....fitted her with, the bright orbs shimmering blue briefly to get across her unspoken promise.

Izuku jumped when he heard a strange voice call to him, and he tried to duck, fearing he'd been found by the humans that wanted to harm him too terribly soon. But, when he saw the more passive posture, as well as the indicator light she showed him, he relaxed, but only a little bit. He knows there arw androuds that work with cops-- how did he know if he could trust her?
"Y-you're not here to t-take me back, right? Th-they hated me...." He whimpered, a few more tears soon falling down his cheeks. "I-I was just.... J-just wanted to be like All Might...." He sobbed, looking much like a lost, wounded and confused child. "Wh-why were they scared? I-I was practicing while they were asleep, I-I never broke anything...." He hugged himself, head bowing down, as if making himself as small as possible would make him disappear. "Th-they were calling the cops-- my brother was scared of me, a-and I don't know *why*!!" He wailed out, his hands soon digging into his curly green locks as he curled in on himself further.

Mina's heart broke and she cooed to the young android, "Oh sweetheart, no. I won't take you to them." He didn’t look older than her, and he didn't necessarily look like a child model either, but he did look like a model made to look young. Young enough to be scraping that territory of not yet an adult and it set her teeth on edge that someone would do this to a kid. No matter how much they may not think android's count.
Gentle, artificially flushed pink hands worked their way into the other's hair, carefully easing his fingers away from his scalp so he wouldn't hurt himself. "We're a group that rescues androids like you, like us. We're different, and humans are afraid of that because we're meant to all be the same." Her quest to fish his hands out of his hair completed, she held them in her own, smiling softly, if a little sadly. "Come with us, sweet thing. We'll keep you safe okay?"
-----
When the kind android carefully removed his hands from his hair, he wept more, as her contact was something he already missed from his own home. The gentle touches, the kind words. He was scared, understandably-- but, at her offer, he gave a tearful, shaky nod. "I-I don't want to be scared, o-or alone, either...." He whimpered, the sudden ousting hurting him the most. There was no doubt he'll have abandonment issues for a good, long while.
With her help, he carefully got out of the trash-- at least it wasn't the rotting sort-- his clothes that of a young man, but.... With how translucent the white fabric clinging to his chest was, it was evident that something else had been going on, something even he didnt pick up on. "I-is my new home far....? I-I'm cold...." He whimpered faintly, shaking terribly still. Much like a child model, he was subjected to the elements on purpose-- subjected to the needs of one, and more with his custom build.
-----
Mina frowned deeply, stepping closer to the little android as she helped him up. This was probably much deeper than she originally thought and it brought a rush of disgust over her synthetic skin. She'd been fitted with a more complex nervous system than most androids of her model had, and thus the feeling was very prominent. She kept herself together, that kind smile plastered to her features as she lead the android away, back to her squad.
Hanta stepped forward, grinning happily at both of the shorter androids, "Hey there, little one." he greeted, looking over his outfit and barely concealing the twist his mouth made in disgust. "Come on, let's get you to your new home, nice and warm, okay?"
-----
Izuku was wary as he was brought toward the group-- and really, could he be blamed? But, he trusted Mina well enough, so these other androids should be safe, right? At the promise of a new home that was warm, he nodded sheepishly, shivering at Mina's side. "I-is it far....?" He asked quietly, looking around nervously, worried they would be seen.
He didn't want to be brought back, or worse. "W-we'll be safe.... Right?" He asked, even if he'd been told they would be already. He was just so nervous-- scared of being hurt, alone again. It was never easy-- and this was horribly upsetting for the small android. Everything was so uncertain, scary, and he disnt know anything outside of the life he had before all of what had brought him here.
