How his own parents managed to weaponize puppy-dog-eyes against him was baffling to Danny. He was eighteen years old, an engineering major, and his town’s secret resident hero. Yet somehow he found himself agreeing to leave what is essentially his haunt in favor of showing an entire ghost hunting- ahem - curse hunting institution his parents’ weapons to use against his own kind. Or well, half his kind. Sam and Tucker introducing him to anime as a kid was a mistake, learning Japanese was cool and all but he’s stuck in Japan now, not for a vacation but to become a supernatural weapon’s dealer.

All of his parents’ weapons were packed, and it took forever for the airport to confirm every license, permission, and certificate he needed to even let him through. In the end though, he made it just fine and now had the unique experience of waiting for someone in a foreign country’s airport whilst his ghost sense went absolutely haywire. The only thing stopping Danny from jumping into his ghost form and tackling most of the grotesque looking curses loitering about was the fact he couldn’t carry all of the gear he’d brought with him and leaving it alone was an awful idea. Also the security cameras all over the place that would mean he would need to find the one inch of the whole airport that didn’t have one to even transform.

He did pluck a fleshy-looking roach curse from a little girl’s back and smiled a little when she brightened up and said her shoulder didn’t hurt anymore. Danny had forgotten that the ghosts there fed off of negative feelings since ectoplasm was scarce and there were no portals to the Zone for them to stock up with it. He didn’t feel bad about crushing the gross insect in his palm and watching it dissipate. The curses there didn’t have the ability to feel anything but negativity as a result of how they sustained themselves, he couldn’t mistake them for his people back home. They were far more complex creatures.

Maybe that’s where his parents’ misconception of ghosts came from. The curses in Japan who really didn’t feel remorse or real pain because they couldn’t.

Danny sat himself on one of the fortified boxes full of Fenton Thermos’ since that seemed to be the so-called Sorcerers’ main concern when it came to curses. He needed to wait for his escort, but the way he kept coughing or breathing out the slight chill of his ghost sense was probably concerning to the people who were now giving him a wide berth. Great. He hoped that whoever it was got there quick before he was asked to leave or something equally as humiliating.

The way that Gojo treated him more like an errand boy than an actual student was immensely irritating for the young sorcerer as he was now making his way to the airport to pick up his teachers latest interest. He was to meet with a contact at the airport to escort him and his precious cargo back to the school, but Megumi knew what this really was, Gojo just needed a mule. It had been all too often that the young sorcerer was expected to take on the burdens of his teacher, especially when it came to one Yuji Itadori. He frowned at the memory of when he was first introduced to the pink-haired vessel and how he had almost lost his life until one Gojo Satoru decided to come back early from vacation to cockily save the day. Luckily for Megumi, Kiyotaka was able to drive him to the airport as the raven-haired teen was not looking forward to taking the bus or catching a cab. When they arrived, Kiyotaka was asked to keep the car running while Megumi went looking for their contact.

It was almost too easy to spot the person he was supposed to escort, if not for the large amount of gear he had with him, Megumi would've for sure known from the amount of energy he could sense radiating off the other. He approached his target from the side with a lazy gait, clearing his throat to announce his arrival and with a heavy sigh he greeted the other boy. "Danny?"
