Experienced Pokemon Trainer Wanted [Yori Izanagi x Toby Morrison]

He really was fond of plants. More fond of them than people. Plants didn't expect things. They didn't expect him to be someone, or want him to change. Plants would grow at their own pace. They would do as they pleased, and while he could try and coax them one way or another, plants would do as plants did. It was refreshing.

"I've heard live out in the wilds is so different than towns or cities. You're at nature's whims." The idea was interesting. Though, he knew nature's whims also meant pokemon... Toby knew he eventually had to learn to accept pokemon and work on his fear, or he had to just stick to the conformity of his green house. Manufactured nature, in a way. A pale imitation of the real thing.
"Hopefully I can learn to adapt." He didn't want to be stagnant. He was tired of flinching every time a pokemon got too close. He was tired of the nightmares.

"Mm. You are. I have a really nice tent so we won't be too uncomfortable, but we still have to be prepared for different weather and such. I'm out here enough that I am, at least when we're camping, but we may need to get you better clothes, depending on where you want to go. Good set of shoes is all you need here though," he assured as they walked along, turning them once he couldn't easily see the road. From here, he followed the shape of the road from a distance, making sure he could still see it between the trees.

"This is as deep as we'll go for now. You can still see the road from here." And so they walked along, taking in the beautiful world around them, both for its own sake and to keep safe from the residents. If they did have to defend themselves, it best to see the battle coming, but more importantly, it would make confrontations more avoidable. "I'm sure you'll be fine. I'll help ease you into everything." Yori found himself with a problem he'd never really had to deal with before. He'd always done delivery work so speaking with his client was strictly at the start and end with perhaps a call to update them along the way. Now he was actually traveling with them which meant they should probably hold some sort of conversation, shouldn't they? While he was far from antisocial, he actually wasn't sure where to start at the moment.

"Oh I packed some clothes. I can show you when we rest." He hadn't gone into this in just a tanktop and shorts, after all. He would walk along with Yori, making mental notes of things he might need. More clothes, of course. His shoes might need replacing at some point as well. But for now? He had a feeling he had much of what he needed.

"Alright. A good idea." Being able to see the road was a comfort. Just in case. Tobias could not say he had an... Amazing sense of direction. As well as the fact that it was good to have some form of safety in view. As they walked, he looked over to Yori and nodded.
"Thank you. I owe you." And he did. He'd make sure that he was paid well. Hands were in his pockets as he walked, gaze just following the lush ground around them, taking in the sights.
"This is actually going better than I expected when I posted that advertisement."

"Sounds good. I'm sure whatever you have is fine for the moment, but if I know what you have, I can tell you what you need depending on where we're heading next." Once they were straightened out and following the road from a distance, he was more focused on looking out for pokemon in the area. Pokemon usually kept their distance from the road, but this was far enough that they weren't as safe anymore. He didn't think they were in any real danger, of course, but it paid to be vigilant.

"Sure thing. I'm glad you're happy with my services so far. Hopefully, you'll still feel that way when we're hunkered down in a tent and miserable." He half-joked, giving his pony a gentle scritch under the chin. "We're off to a very pleasant start so far though. The pokemon seem to be avoiding us for the most part." He pointed up towards a tree where there were several pidgies looking down at them curiously but making no move to leave their high-up perches.
