Marshal had always to be a star when he grew up, walking the red carpet, being on the big screen, showing the world his talent and good looks! Alas, being a small town squirrel made such dreams difficult, and when he moved to the city, things were even harder. Bigger bills, a small, modest apartment and knowing little to know one in such a big place made making himself known even more difficult than before, it felt like. But, the blonde squirrel was determined, driven, even if he had to work harder than he initially thought at it.
Luckily, he was given some 'acting practice's when he was hired on at a maid cafe, and, well.... Things sorta took off, in the monetary department. He was given so many good tips for his service, and stunning performance as a cute, mildly ditsy and all too oblivious maid for his customers. He was a fan favorite for most, so that helped him begin the slow, slow process of saving money to get nicer but still affordable clothes, makeup, and with flier in hand, eventually proper performance lessons. Singing, dancing, acting-- he wanted it all, but he still had to work ever harder.
However, today was a rather slow day, which wasn't unusual for a Tuesday. Most folks stopped in between Friday into Monday before petering off, though today seemed even slower than normal. Sure, Marshal was doing a great job, but the slowness bothered him, somewhat. What if this was a sign that the busy season was ending all too soon? He hoped not-- he had just had his dress mended, and even had a little extra ruffles added to his hem and apron to help his figure seem fuller. Even for a male omega, he hardly had any curve to his body-- he was almost as uniform as a wooden dowel!! It was sad, really.
But, he put on a bright, welcoming smile as the bells on the door rang, signaling the fifth customer of the day. "Welcome to the Nook Happy Maid Cafe!! May I help you today, Master?" He hoped he could get this newcomer-- he seemed handsome, professional. Hopefully he wasn't a silent pervert.

Raymond was tired. He had completed a long, boring day at the office, which was not unusual when you handled finance for one of the biggest corporations in the country, but he was off work now and he tried to make it a rule not to think about business when he didn’t absolutely have to.
That morning Raymond decided to walk to work from his nearby pent house apartment since he was a bit tired of the same old routine. Wake up, drive to work, drive to some restaurant or bar to schmooze with the CEOs; he was starting to get bored. There was only so much about business he could talk about. Not to mention the empty feeling he experienced entering his dark, lonely home after a long day. Raymond wanted a sweet, little mate, someone he could hug, kiss, spoil, please… but alas it was quite difficult for Raymond to find a partner that fit his needs… he was interested in a specific type of boy. On his way in that morning he passed a quaint Maid Cafe tucked in the corner of a plaza and in an attempt to break the cycle of normalcy, he decided to go after work. Raymond didn’t normally enter these establishments, but it had been a while since a pretty boy in a dress catered to him… he would give it a chance.
As he entered, the bell attached to the door chimed in tandem with the beat of his heart at the sight before him. The most beautiful thing he’s ever laid his eyes on stood right in front of him in a small, maids outfit, greeting him with an excited tone.
“Yes, I’d like a table for one, please… preferably a little more private.”

"Of course, Master!" Marshal happily replied, before leading the other toward his booth area, his tail swaying sweetly. "Would you like a window, or the cozy corner booth? We also have an option for a partition if you need a little more privacy than just being in the corner!" The area was quiet, with soft, warm light, and was delightfully designed in a mix of Victorian and modern styles, with the seats looking terribly comfortable, maybe even too comfortable. Really, whoever designed the space knew just how to keep a customer pleasantly ensnared in comfort while being entertained by pretty maids and the occasional butler.
Once his customer was seated and made comfortable, Marshal pulled out a nicely designed menu, and set it before the feline. "You may call me Marshal, Master, and I do hope I can meet all your needs today!" He then pulled an adorable heart-shaped notepad from a pocket in his dress, paired with a peach-topped pencil as he looked sweetly to his customer, "What may I get you to drink? We have a selection of teas, soft drinks, coffees, and even milkshakes and malts! If you feel we have too many delicious options to choose from, I would like to suggest the Peachy Boba Yogurt tea! Though, if you prefer a warm drink, a personal favorite is the Spicy Caramel Cream Latte, topped with a mix of cinnamon and sugar-salt!" As he spoke, his tail wagged happily as he spoke of his suggestions, showing how he adored them.
Beverage order taken on the little notepad, he pocketed the notebook, before bowing gracefully. "I will return soon with your drink, then I'll be honored to take your order, if you're ready!" He then waved gently as he turned away, a precious bounce in his step as he headed to the kitchen to have the feline's beverage made. The squirrel was so excited, happy that the gentleman at his table was calm, and respectful. Sure, he couldn't see if the other was looking him over when his back was turned, but as he waited on the businessman, the man was focused on his face in a proper manner, without a hint of indecency. As sad as it is, it was a rare thing for not only Marshal, but the other maids, but they were more than lucky to have a responsible boss, who had a no tolerance policy for unwanted contact between staff and customer.
Luna had banned an avian for groping Marshal boldly, which immediately made him quite upset, feel unsafe. He was escorted home personally by her at her insistence, and he was deeply grateful. While he was a young man, he was also an omega-- making him at-risk for unwanted confrontations after dark.
Once Raymond's drink was finished, he happily returned to the man, ever sweet smile on his face as he set it quietly before him with practiced ease. "I hope you haven't been waiting long, Master, but I promise it was worth every second we were apart!" He giggled softly, before pulling out notepad and pencil once more. "Have you decided on what you'd like to eat? Or would you prefer my company? It's always nice to have a friendly ear if you need to get anything off of your chest, at your comfort!" Marshal offered, noting how serious the other seemed to be, and wanted to be as welcoming and kind as possible. After all, if he did a good job, he would potentially have a regular in his booth area!

His heart jumped as the word Master flowed from the sweet squirrels mouth once again. Within minutes he was convinced he needed to come back. His eyes were unapologetically glued to the others behind, watching his cute tail sway as he followed behind to the table. The decor was quite pleasing, indeed, and the chairs looked incredibly soft. “The corner is fine.” He had suddenly felt a bit possessive of the maid, not wanting anyone to see him through the window. Raymond knew this was irrational, it was this boys job to act so cute and subservient but the cat couldn’t help stirring in fantasy of the cute squirrel laying pretty on his back in his bed wearing nothing but Raymond’s buttoned down shirt, calling him Daddy and begging for pleasure.
Raymond shook his head and took a seat, carefully adjusting himself in the process as not to show any signs of arousal. He listened to the pretty squirrel introduce himself and go over the menu happily. This kid could’ve asked Raymond to sign a blank check and he would have gladly. “Honestly, I’ll have whatever you think I would like.”
Raymond nodded, smiling pleasantly. He watched happily as the adorable maid bounced away to no doubt get his drink ready. He wondered if it would be bad practice to ask Marshal on a date, or to even offer to buy him something for his break… he wasn’t sure how this worked and figured he should probably avoid getting the squirrel in trouble for fraternizing with customers… as if Raymond couldn’t give him the world. No, no. He shook his head focusing his attention elsewhere. He shouldn’t think about buying someone’s love. He reminded himself again that Marshal was here to work. He got paid to act in such a way.
Raymond fought hard not to blush at Marshal’s sweet words and cute giggle, but a small, faint blush dusted his cheeks momentarily. He nodded his thanks to the maid and offered a kind smile. His ears twitched in excitement as Marshal offered his company to the cat; a dream come true! He tried to play it calm, not wanting to show his eagerness to the other. “Company would be appreciated. You can help me decide what to eat, and I’d love to buy you something if you’re hungry or thirsty and allowed to join me.” He made sure to add that last part, assuring the other he had no intentions of over stepping boundaries or getting the cute squirrel in trouble. Raymond’s tail twitched beneath the table in anticipation of Marshal’s response.

"Alrighty!!" Marshal chirped happily at Raymond's seat of choice, before helping him to that booth eagerly, unaware of the other's feelings, let alone the growing predicament in the other's lap. He didn't have any idea the fantasies the other held about him so shortly after meeting him, at that. But, luckily that allowed the squirrel to be professional, comfortable. Allowed him to still be his sweet, adorable self.
Marshal soon returned with the latte, believing the other needed a warm but energizing drink to start with, especially as the other seemed like a coffee drinker. Seems more like a black, rich coffee sort of feline, but it was nice to indulge in sweet things at times!! "I thought you'd appreciate the later-- if you don't, it's no issue to bring you something else!" He set the drink down with a practiced, soft sound of cup on polished wood, before looking to the feline with a tender smile and sweet tilt to his head. When the businessman said he would like his company as he looked over the menu, he nodded eagerly, before sitting across from the other, tail tucked towards the exit of the seat. "I'd love to help, master!! And we are allowed to share a pleasant meal or treat with customers!!" He replied, happy the other was so kind to offer. "And since it is almost break time, I can take it early! Though, Miss Luna says I shouldn't work on break, even if a Master or Mistress is nice." He pouted a moment, but he shrugged. "But I understand-- liability and stuff!!" He smiled, before leaning over the table gently, unintentionally allowing the other to see a peak down his dress. While it was fitted nicely, it still had wiggle room, and the other would be able to see the top of his lean, pristine chest, and sweet, nibbleable collarbones. "We have savory entrees as well as yummy appetizers, but also a lovely array of desserts, ranging from irresistible sweet to tame and mild!!" He explained, his tail swaying happily behind him with the special freedom it had.
"I know out of our appetizers, I adore our pretty onigiri, which come in cute shapes and various flavors like pickled plum, salmon, tuna, chicken, and plain!" He pointed the platter image, the shapes being hearts, sakura blossoms, traditional, and various animal head shapes. "Theres also fun salads and soups too!! As for entrees, there's various cold and hot, melty sandwiches, adorable versions of various sushi, larger soups like precious ramen bowls, udon soups, and soba!! We also serve Bentos as well during lunch and supper hours!!" He grinned, before his stomach let out a rudely loud growl, making him blush. ".... I-I promise I ate breakfast before work, M-Master.... I just have a strong metabolism...." he murmured in embarrassment, his soft little ears tilting down faintly.

Raymond had been lost in thought of some work trip be bad to attend in the coming week when Marshal returned with his drink. The feline sat smiling patiently as Marshal gently placed his drink on the table and explained to the cat what drink was selected for him. “I’m sure this will be fine, I normally just drink black coffee but this place is too nice for just that.” He let out a small chuckle. His heart fluttered as the squirrel let him know he could share a meal with the cat, but his pointed ears twitched at the next part, “Don’t get in trouble for me.” He purred. “If you need to break I can wait for you.” Raymond’s eyes were trained on the squirrels chest the minute he leaned forward to look at the menu. His eyes widened a bit as he tried desperately to keep down a growl at the others beautifully exposed collarbone. His tail whipped back and forth, as he squeezed his hands together.
Forcing his eyes to look up at the cute squirrels adorable face instead, he listened respectfully to the options before going with Marshal’s recommendation again. “Which onigiri would you like to share? I’ll also have a vegetable ramen. Don’t forget to put your order in as well. Whatever you want.” He gave a small smile. “And please, take your break. I will be here waiting for you and then we can eat. Sound good, Marshal?~” unbeknownst to the cute, innocent squirrel this felines mind was racing. He hoped he wouldn’t have to take a small trip to the bathroom for shallow release.

Marshal giggled at Raymond's reply, and nodded softly. "I had a feeling you'd like rich, black coffee-- but a little sweetness every so often doesn't hurt!! Do you like the flavor? Again, I can get you something different if you want to try something different?" He offered, being the ever helpful sweetheart. "I won't get in trouble! I'll just let the others know when I bring our order to the back, Master!" He replied eagerly, happy the other stressed that he be a good boy for the squirrel's sake. Though, oblivious as always, he had no idea the effect he had on the other, not realizing he was being a terrible tease. Thank the gods that Raymond seemed to have the patience and restraint of a proper Saint.
When the other proposed sharing onigiri, he nodded happily, before humming as he looked at the platter image. "Hmmmm.... does salmon in heart-shaped onigiri sound good?" He asked, before jotting Raymond's veggie ramen down on his note pad happily. "Hmm.... I think I'll have the octo weenie and egg bento today!" He declared. It was simple, delicious, and relatively affordable! If he was understanding his customer properly, the other was wanting to treat him on his break. On one hand, he didn't want to seem greedy, and two, just in case something went south, he would be able to afford his portion of the meal with no pain in his wallet. But, he doubt there would be problems with how polite and patient the other was!
Once the order was written down, he quietly excused himself once more to put the order in, then came back to sit with his patron eagerly. "Our food shouldn't take too long now, Master! And, I won't have to clock out until our food is ready, so I won't have to rush as we eat together!" He assured, having a feeling the other would be concerned. "While we wait, Master, what would you like to talk about? Do you have hobbies, dreams?" He asked curiously, his head tilted sweetly as he spoke.

Raymond sipped the sweet drink presented to him and smiled. "Oh yes, it's delicious. Thank you." he bowed his head slightly in appreciate for the help. Marshal really did a great job at picking drinks for his customers. "Very well then, I look forward to our meal together." he rewarded the cute boy with another dashing smile.
"That does sound good." He waited patiently for the squirrel to decide what he wanted, with an unusual eagerness to spoil he was hoping for a large order. When Marshal decided on just a cute little bento he frowned slightly. Did he not look like he could afford something nicer for the pretty maid? He didn't intend to take offense or show so on his face, but maybe he needed to update his wardrobe to reflect his wealth properly to the other. "That all? You can get whatever you want. I insist."
Raymond kept an affectionate smirk on his face as the squirrel spoke once he returned from putting their order in. His eyes were lidded slightly with interest. "That's wonderful, I would hate for you to eat too fast. That could upset your stomach." Perhaps Raymond was mistaken but it seemed like the squirrel was interested in in, if only just as a person, by asking him these rather intimate questions. "Well, I enjoy reading, running, traveling, and cooking. As for dreams.. well. Let's see." He placed his hand over his chin in thought. Did he have dreams? He was pretty sure he had accomplished everything he wanted financially and career wise.. so what else was there? "Ah. I'd like to be a published author some day. And what about you? I'm sure you're much more interesting than I."

"That's wonderful to hear! I'm proud to say I've only been wrong once so far!" He grinned, appreciating the praise given to him. And that smile.... Marshal won't admit it, but it made him flutter with how genuine it felt. Kind, patient.... Safe. If the other became a regular, Marshal would be really happy, seeing such a gentle smile aimed his way every time the other came in.
When Raymond insisted he get more, Marshal was a bit hesitant, bashful, almost, before nodding. He looked over the menu once more, and biting his lip faintly in thought. "I'll take a small sweetheart shrimp sushi as well, then." Still safe, plus, for Marshal, it would be spoiling. "I've always wanted to try that." Would that satisfy the feline? "I also don't want to eat too much-- working on too full a stomach can be uncomfortable, Master!" He added, hoping the other would understand. Really, Marshal wasn't too big an eater, anyways.
Again, with that look and genuine concern in the other's voice! At this rate, Marshal may become depressed if the other stops being a regular, just to see him more!! "It would, I can be a little too sensitive...." He laughed nervously, before listening to the other answer his questions. It was interesting how the other had to think about his dreams-- most people he'd ask would have the answer lined up already! And yet, it seemed right for the other, too. "An author? What kind of stories would you write? Nonfiction, or fiction? I'll admit, I do enjoy an occasional young adult fiction myself every so often, especially of there's action and romance!" He sighed dreamily, recalling a series where a plain girl was sent on a quest to save two cursed Indian princes. However, there was a questionable section where he had to take a break to steady himself that hit a little too close to home. Though, when the questions he had asked were directed back to the squirrel, he blushed deeply, and laughed nervously again. "W-well, it's a little silly, some people say, but.... I want to be an actor one day! So I sing, dance and act out some of my favorite screen and stage shows when I'm not at work! I also sew a little bit, though I have a hard time figuring sewing machines out. They almost always try to eat my project, even if I do everything right!" He lamented with a soft whine, his little ears and tail drooping in a bittersweet adorableness. "I hope the sewing machine gremlins will go away after Muffy I'd done looking at it. I got it second hand for really cheap, and she thinks it's haunted." He let out a weak giggle, clearly afraid of the possibility of it being true.
