Bakugou’s Time of the Month (Trans!Kiri x Cis!Baku)

Post by CRYBABY »

Believe it or not Bakugou Katsuki, pro hero DynaMight, was happy. He graduated top of his class at UA, worked for No.2 Pro Hero Hawks right out of school until he opened his own agency with the help of his friends, earned enough rank to sit in the top 10 by the time he was 25 and he lived in a quant, comfortable house with his best friend. His life couldn’t be better…. well, unless the love of his life reciprocated his feelings but he was convinced that was never going to happen.

When Bakugou entered his first year at UA he expected to dominate, win, be the best, prove himself—which he had—but he never expected to fall completely head over heels in love with the class extrovert who had a smile that could melt Bakugou’s hardened exterior. Katsuki didn’t know what love was back then, he was just a stupid kid, all he knew is that when Kirishima was around he felt… different, softer maybe. He felt as if the anger and resentment faded away, the guilt and disappointment he felt didn’t have to be a stain on his life but rather he could heal and move forward. Katsuki began to act differently to Kirishima… he allowed the other boy to hang around him, they worked out together, studied together, and Katsuki even began cooking for both of them. He did it all for that shark tooth smile and a cheery ‘Thanks, man!’ Kirishima was kind, understanding, strong and most importantly he never gave up on Katsuki no matter what empty insult was thrown at the red head. After the Kamino Incident when Bakugou would wake up in a cold sweat who was there to comfort him back to sleep? Who found him shivering and crying in the shower after a flashback and helped ground him to reality? Kirishima. All the while never uttering a peep of these times. Katsuki felt safe in Eijirou’s embrace.

Bakugou returned home later than usual that evening, having had to stay after his shift to finish up paperwork from a villain attack that conveniently took place minutes before his patrol ended—such was the nature of the job, he reasoned. As he entered their home and removed his shoes, the blonde stretched, shuffling to his bedroom to grab some clothes for a relaxing shower.

Katsuki stood beneath the the waterfall shower head as warm water washed over his tired aching body. He took some time to massage his sore palms before finishing up and toweling dry. The man was exhausted but he still needed to cook for Kirishima before Katsuki was able to relax or even sleep. Bakugou was a traditional man, he liked routine and he enjoyed the calm, normalcy of his life outside of Hero work, and that meant cooking for Kirishima every night and packing his lunch for the next day. He was brought back from his thoughts as suddenly a sharp pain wrecked through him while drying off his chest. He placed the towel down and moved to look at himself in the mirror, examining his chest revealed one thing… the blondes pecs were looking unusually swole. Gently, two fingers pressed down on swollen pectorals to elicit yet another wave of pain. The blonde man winced, placing his hand down on the sink.. he took a good long look at himself before putting on his clothes bottoms first. As he shimmied the black tank top down his chest, Bakugou yelp lowly at the contact between the fabric and his seemingly sensitive nipples. Come to think about it, the blonde had noticed, while dressing in his form fitting Hero costume, an increase in soreness around his nipples the past few days. He must be really sore from work. He ignored it, as he did the other few instances this became apparent, and he walked out into the living space.

“Ei?” He called loud enough to be heard throughout most of the house while he walked into the kitchen to prepare to cook.

Kirishima had harbored feelings for what had become his best friend since nearly the start of their first year in high school. Sure, he'd admired his strength and passion right off and there was no denying that Bakugou was incredibly good looking, but he'd been... Well... Mean. Scary even. He had no idea what could have made him this way, but he sure as hell didn't act like a hero... No, he was of the same mind as most anyone else that met Bakugou at the time. He acted like a villain... Still, he had some admirable qualities and he wouldn't deny anyone credit where it was due.

Then came the USJ incident and everything changed. He was separated from the rest of their classmates and he'd ended up in the same place as Bakugou had. This was the first time he had gotten to spend time with the other teen and actually get to know him, even if it was in the midst of combat. It allowed him to see what Bakugou hid so defensively under the surface, reading between the lines to see what really lay hidden inside. It wasn't enough to know him, but was enough to spark the interest in taking on the prickly puzzle before him.

It took time, patience, and persistence, but it paid off in the end. Slowly, ever so slowly, he managed to get the blond to open up to him till he had his new best friend! Best friend. Yeah... The trouble was that by the time they had participated in their first year Sports Festival, he'd already started to develop a crush. When the two had fallen into each other's 'best friend' roles, it was more than just a crush. Sadly, in the end, nothing came of it.

They were undeniably close, but things had never clicked into place as he'd hoped they would. To this day, this fact made his heartache... It seems it hadn't been meant to be. Teasing had made him hesitate admitting his homoflexible status, but even when he'd gotten the courage to admit it and the news spread like while fire, nothing came of the information. He'd even made sure that it had made it to Bakugou's ears, but even then, nothing happened. He was thankfully not treated any different, but that was also a problem in of itself. Katsuki had never expressed an interest in anyone, including himself. The blond had always been aggressively to the point with how he felt about things so he had to assume that the lack of interest in anything romantic was exactly that, a lack of interest. There were asexual and aromantic people out there and there was nothing wrong with that! He'd be happy just being by his side.

At least that had been the idea. Now they'd graduated and moved in together, starting up an agency with their closest friends and in Tokyo no less. It made sense, honestly, what with Bakugou aiming for the top. Tokyo was where most of the biggest names were, with only a few exceptions, so this was the place to be. Thankfully, there was enough crime here for there to be room for heroes of all caliber, so long as you had the stomach for it. Sure, a lot of the crime or emergencies were okay, but big cities tended to have the dirtiest underbellies and Tokyo was as big as it got in Japan. Honestly, he was surprised that Bakugou continued to live with him after he'd climbed the ranking ladder as quickly and high as he did. He certainly had more than enough money to live on his own. Hell, even low-ranking heroes usually could make ends meet enough to live on their own, but Katsuki had stayed with him. Perks of being best friends, he supposed, and he wasn't complaining. As much as it hurt that he wasn't loved back, even the chance to live side by side with him was enough to keep him from leaving on his own.

He'd been home when he'd heard Bakugou arrive late from work, but he hadn't worried about it. More correctly, the news hadn't given him reason to worry about it. Heroes as famous as Katsuki getting hurt were always newsworthy so if there were no reports on it, he was fine. Probably paperwork, last-second villains, and impromptu meeting, or a mix of them. It was just part of the job. Still, he hadn't called into the house when he'd arrived so he had to assume he wasn't in the best mood so he left him be for the time being with the intention of checking on him later, should he keep to himself too long. Instead, he decided to make himself available, in case, so the blond wouldn't have to go out of his way to locate him.

"Kat!" came the reply when his name was finally called, the sound coming from their living room. The faux redhead lazing on the couch in a pair of cargo shorts and a loose-fitting drop armhole tank. "In the living room! Rough day?" he called on, rolling himself to his feet, slipping them back into his crocs, then making his way into the kitchen to get a sneak peek at what food he would be enjoying in the near future. While he knew how to cook, Bakugou was leagues better and rather defensive of the kitchen at this point. Not all that surprising after how long it took to clean up after Kaminari, Sero, and Mina had experimented in here. There was frosting and marshmallow fluff everywhere. While Kirishima was one of the few allowed to enter his territory, he didn't often cook for himself thanks to Bakugou's insistence on doing it himself. He could be so sweet... It felt nice to be taken care of, honestly, though he wished Katsuki would let him return the favor sometimes.

His heart fluttered at the sound of his best friend calling his name. He had always loved the way Kirishima shortened his name which was strange considering he had threatened to blast anyone who tried to use any variation of his name… in fact, aside from that shitty Deku, no one was allowed to call the blonde anything other than Bakugou or DynaMight. The explosive hero was so down bad that Kirishima could get away with murder at this point. “Tch.. yeah, last minute villain attack when I was just about done with patrol, and of course the shitty paperwork.” He grumbled, not turning away from preparing the rice for dinner. Once he finished setting the timer to cook and placing a pan on the stove top to warm, he turned around to meet Kirishima.

Damnit. Kirishima was hot. His hair slightly messy coupled with the sneak peek of his chest through the loose-fitting muscle tank had Katsuki interested. Kirishima was always good looking, but there were certain things he wore that really brought Katsuki to the edge, and this was one of them. The blonde really did enjoy the simple things in life. “How was your—FUCK!” He nearly yelped in pain as he tried to cross his arms over his chest while leaning against the counter in a show of nonchalant interest, that did not go so well. He instinctually brought his hands to meet his sore pecs, he held them ever so gently for a brief moment before he realized what he was doing. Scowl twisting his beautiful features he dropped his hands, turning around quickly bringing his attention and focus back to the food he was preparing. The meat was already seasoned since last night and with the pan heated to near perfect temperature he used the tongs to place the pieces of chicken in the pan. His face remained in a scowl as he worked and even after when he was too embarrassed to turn back around so he stood facing the stove after each piece of meat was neatly placed in the pan.

"Yeah, figured it was something like that. It's always like that, huh? An unexpected villain can show up at any time, but they will always show up right at the end of a shift anyway. I'm just glad you're alright. I didn't hear anything on the news so I wasn't really worried, but ya know... Most dangerous job in the world and all that." As Bakugou started to ask what he was sure was 'how was your day' his lips parted only for his words to be swallowed up by a gasp at the sudden curse. "Katsuki? You okay? What happened?!" He had the urge to ask if he burned himself, but not only did the reaction and position not match up to that, but the guy had an explosion quirk. Sure he wasn't immune to the effects of fire and heat, but he was resistant and the pan couldn't be that hot already, could it?

Stranger still, Bakugou seemed fixated on cooking now which suggested he was embarrassed about something. The guy wasn't easy to read at the best of times, but Eijirou was quite proud of the fact he'd gotten quite good at it over the years. Unfortunately, this lack of response also left him having to guess what was wrong. Think about what he was doing. What could have... Wait... "Did you pull a muscle while at work or something?" The nature of Katsuki's quirk required a certain amount of physical strength to wield and as he'd grown stronger in quirk he had to grow stronger in body to match. The most obvious muscles for this were the ones in his arms and hands, but his pectorals, shoulders, and back were all very important as well, with the rest of his body following not far behind. Regardless of what people thought, Explosion was a very physical quirk and it was hard on the body to actually use.

"If you're sore or something, I could give you a massage? You know I have to work feeling back into myself after hardening for too long so I've gotten pretty good at it by now." He wasn't sure if the offer would actually be accepted as Bakugou was nothing if not proud and stubborn, but he was well aware that of all people, he had the best chance of getting through to him. If he refused now, he would try again after dinner as he would likely be more relaxed after getting some food in his stomach. He'd showered though... Strange that hadn't helped much. Must be pretty bad, he had to have pushed himself.

“Tch. Sure it’s dangerous but you don’t need to worry too much about me, Red, no villain is going to take me down.” He spoke nonchalant, however, he was fighting a shy smile at the thought of Kirishima worried for his safety.. he didn’t really want his best friend to worry, that would be cruel, the thought was just nice. There weren’t many people in the blonde’s life that genuinely cared about him, no surprise given how he pushed people away with his shitty attitude, but he couldn’t just trust anyone to be around him.. he had to feel safe. Bakugou was lucky, though, he had a group of amazing friends that were always going to be there for him, they had proven that time and time again.. even Izuku after everything he put him through. His attempt at not caring was faulted by the pained curse that slipped through his teeth when his arms did little more than brush his pecs. He turned almost immediately, choosing to ignore Kirishima’s questions and focus on the food. He knew Kirishima had an idea that something was wrong but he wasn’t about to admit it and really worry his kind hearted best fried. What would he tell the other anyway? ‘My nipples hurt and I can’t touch my chest without wanting to scream.’ No, of course not. He would just carry on with dinner as if nothing even happened.

Katsuki was embarrassed to say the least, his nipples and pecs were ridiculously sensitive for the past two days and today they were swollen and painful. He was completely out of the loop as to what was happening with his body which was slowly causing more distress for the hero. Eijirou suggested that perhaps Katsuki pulled a muscle, which was possible, Explosion was a pretty physically demanding quirk, and while Bakugou was great at taking care of himself, it wasn’t entirely impossible that he had missed something such as a pulled muscle.

He was almost to the point of going to a doctor before Kirishima offered him a possible solution. ‘A massage?’ He considered.. Katsuki was aware that Ei had to massage himself often due to his quirk, and it was completely possible that the blonde had pulled a muscle in his chest, especially with the frustrating villain attack a few days ago right around the time this had all started. Maybe Kirishima was on to something, perhaps he had just overworked himself. When was the last time he had a day off? ‘The future number one hero wouldn’t take a day off’ he would tell himself. It was vey much like Ei to offer some sort of help, but Katsuki was a bit shocked for him to offer a massage, especially one that would involve his chest. The blonde wanted to accept his offer so badly and feel some sort of relief but he couldn’t acknowledge that he hadn’t taken care of himself properly, not to mention.. he wasn’t sure he could handle having Kirishima touching such an intimate part of his body. “No. I don’t need a massage.” The rice cooker dinged, and the meat was almost at a perfect golden brown when he finally moved to grab the plates. Katsuki took down two plates, along with two cups, two sets of silverware, and some napkins to set the table. He didn’t avoid looking at Kirishima, but he remained in a busy state, until he was finally plating their dinner.

"I'm your friend, it's my job to worry about you." He countered cheerfully, not at all put off by his concern being brushed off. Bakugou had trouble expressing his more positive emotions in general and he didn't miss that little smile he was trying to hide. That was all he needed, really. The barely hidden emotion peeking out made him feel like he was on cloud nine every time. A pity pain brought a quick end to their little moment and real concern replaced his warm, tingly feelings.

For a while, he went ignored which confirmed to him that there was something seriously wrong. If it were something minor, Bakugou would just get defensive and brush off his concern, but no response? That was Bakugou for 'You're right, but I'm not going to agree with you.' So Bakugou was hurt somehow... Between the physicality of his quirk and his high rank getting him more dangerous assignments, injury wasn't uncommon. What was uncommon was that the blond was hurt and hadn't gotten himself attended to when the injury happened. Maybe it hadn't hurt that bad at the start, but has gotten worse?

Then his offer was being turned down. Of course, it was... Why did it always have to be so difficult to get Katsuki to accept help when he needed it? He'd gotten much better about it over the years though. If he really needed the help, he usually accepted it now so why turn him down this time? The obvious would be that it wasn't so bad so he didn't really need it, but to make Bakugou flinch and even yelp like that, the pain had to be fairly significant. At the same time, he wasn't going to the hospital so he probably thought it wasn't that bad. If he was in that much pain, but not enough to get a professional to look at him, why would he deny help then? He obviously needed it if he hadn't handled it himself yet. Oh. Duh. Embarrassment brought on by pride.

"Katsuki... It's not that big a deal! I once helped Hanta when he threw out his back and he felt loads better after! I promise I won't tell anyone anything about it, okay? I'm just worried about you and I don't like to see you in pain... And don't deny that you're in pain, I'm not blind or deaf." He added quickly before the blond could resort to such a weak excuse. Ugh, his mouth was watering. "That smells so good..." He murmured without even realizing it, peeking down at the perfectly prepared chicken. He really liked food, okay? It was hard to keep it from distracting him.

"Okay look... Let's relax and have dinner first then see how you feel. A massage right before bed is really nice so maybe we can do that. Work the stress and pain out then you can literally go right to sleep there. Just... Think about it, at least?" Hilariously, while Bakugou was having his internal gay panic, Kirishima seemed perfectly comfortable with the idea of massaging his friend's pectorals. The trick was, he was so concerned about the fact that Bakugou was hurt that he was looking at the whole thing with the neutrality a good massagist had, the fact it would be centered on the man's pectorals wasn't an issue. The moment his brain put together that he was going to be rubbing and squeezing his crush's perfect tits though, that might be changing his opinion...

“Yeah, well, I guess so… but don’t worry yourself too much. You know I’ll always come home.” Bakugou had ended up in the hospital a few times during his early career and it wasn’t unlikely that he would end up there again one day. But he always made a silent promise when he walked out of their place that he would be back..maybe it was silly but if felt like a good omen.

He stood in silence knowing Ei’s eyes were trained on him in concern. The blonde was acting suspicious, he knew that, but he didn’t exactly know what else to do. He couldn’t deny his injury in this moment only then have to explain to the red head why he took a day to go to the hospital if it didn’t get better. Bakugou Katsuki wasn’t a liar. Especially not to that sweet face.

Katsuki didn’t try to make things difficult, he really didn’t, he wanted to be the type of person that could rely on friends and accept help when he was offered but he hadn’t had the best of luck with such growing up which made it difficult for him to accept that some people really just wanted to make his life a little easier. His parents weren’t exactly the best, everything that he was offered came with a price, not to mention every emotion he expressed was met with a slap. Nothing he did was ever good enough, it was almost impossible to impress his mother specifically. At a young age he decided he was going to do everything himself and if someone offered help they were either looking down on him or waiting to ask for something in return.. that is until he met Eijirou. The red head expressed genuine friendship almost immediately and after the other showed altruistic interest in helping the blonde, he began to see things a different way. He had not denied help in a little while, always making sure that Ei felt needed and wanted was important to Katsuki, so he allowed the other to do small things for him. This, though, was no small favor to accept. This affected the heroes pride as much as it affected his body.

“I know you won’t tell, Ei. It’s not about that.” He offered hoping it would satisfy the red head, knowing full well it would not, but he continued silently plating their dinner. A smile formed on his face when Kirishima mentioned how good his cooking smelled, he really did love spoiling his best friend. He quickly took the smile off his face before looking over at the other. “Of course it does, I made it.” He was confident if not a bit cocky at times.

Katsuki was relieved that Ei would drop it until after dinner, at least he would be able to eat in peace. He took in what Kirishima was saying prior to placing their food on the table, which only made the blonde a little irritated since he would still have to deny the offer even though he really wanted to feel better.. and having Eijirou touch his chest would be.. no, no chase those thoughts away. Sure the massage would probably help, and yes he would sleep like a baby after. It always worked after he rubbed his palms for the night, but still he wouldn’t accept. He would eat dinner, listen to Ei talk about his day, and go right to sleep. Everything would go according to plan. …or so he thought.

He set the two plates of food atop the placemats on the kitchen table and took his usual seat, he slumped slightly in annoyance and began to eat. He was quiet for a small while willing himself to calm down from the dull, throbbing pain and slight irritation in his attitude, last thing he wanted was to take out his frustration on his best friend. “Tell me about your day.”

Re: Bakugou’s Time of the Month (Trans!Kiri x Cis!Baku)

The faux redhead chuckled softly at the other's insistence that he not worry, but at least he was accepting the little token of affection that should really come standard with any friendship. "I'll do my best." He promised and honestly he did. He trusted Bakugou to take care of himself and did his best not to fuss over him unless given reason to.

Unfortunately for Bakugou, he was now being given reason to. He watched his roommate carefully, taking in every detail of his movements. He knew how Bakugou moved a little more intimately than he would freely admit. Between their familiarity and his habit of staring when the other wasn't paying attention, he knew what was normal and none of this was. Every movement was calculated and tense. He was moving in such a way that suggested he was trying to do what he needed to while also avoid what hurt. The thing was, it didn't look like how he would expect a pulled muscle to look like. A pulled muscle should have him favoring one side over the other, but this suggested that both sides of his chest were a problem. Overworking or injury should be more lop-sided than this... He'd seen some people at the gym like this which were simply pushing their bodies too much, but he knew without a doubt that Katsuki would never be so careless as this could affect his performance as a hero. If it wasn't that though, what was it...?

The blond was, of course, correct in that he wasn't content with the reassurance that him telling someone about this wasn't the issue. While it would have been a major determining factor when they were younger, he'd hope that Katsuki knew he would keep his secrets at this point. He'd voiced it anyway as sometimes it helped to hear it, but he wasn't really surprised that this wasn't the issue. This was likely pride in general standing in his way or embarrassment that stemmed from that pride. Not at all an easy obstacle to get over, given this was Bakugou's.

His change of topic was well received, as he would have expected, and this would give the blond some time to gather himself. They both knew he wouldn't drop the subject so easily, not with Bakugou being in obvious pain. This night was going to end with either him accepting help or him promising to be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. He wouldn't tolerate any other ending, not with Bakugou, a hardened hero, flinching in pain against his will. For now, they would relax together and let the stresses of the day ease away. He was sure relaxing would help his friend more readily accept help too. He also may have really wanted to sink his teeth into the food being prepared for him, but that was a negligible want in comparison to the rest.

He allowed the subject to rest for the moment, watching on as Katsuki set the table and got everything in place. He would have happily helped, but he knew how much the other enjoyed taking care of him, even if he disguised it behind not wanting the redhead to somehow mess it up. He could be so adorably tsundere about some things... Seriously, how could he mess up setting the table? It's not like they did fancy things that required him to know what order the forks went in or something. Kat could be so sweet...

Once he was sure everything was set, he sat himself down and could already feel himself resisting the urge to drool. It was just chicken and rice. How did Bakugou manage to make something that simple this good? He hadn't even tasted it yet and he already knew it would be restaurant-worthy just because Katsuki settled for nothing less. He wasn't sure what he did in a past life to deserve to eat like this at least two times a day, but he would be forever grateful.

"Nothing particularly special happened today really. Helped with a robbery at a jewelry store. Thankfully the store owner managed to slip out the back while the villain was busy with the police out front so once he'd lost his only hostage I could just walk in there. Only got shot four times out of twelve fired. Guy was a really bad shot." Leave it to Eijirou to casually play down being shot. Perks of a hardening quirk as he'd obviously been fine. He cut and popped the first bit of chicken into his mouth, literally moaning around his mouthful. So, very good!

"Didn't even seem to have an accomplice. Just had a very minor water control quirk. Must have been pretty desperate to rob a jewelry store by himself when all he could do was fog up the cameras so he couldn't be identified that way, but didn't account for alarms or how long it would take him to stuff enough into a bag to be worth taking." Another bite had him once again humming happily, even giving a happy little wiggle. He was being unfairly cute. "It's so good! Thank you for cooking. I'll get the dishes today, okay? Least I could do." While he didn't mind doing the chore in of itself, he honestly didn't want to risk Bakugou hurting himself further. "What about you? Anything exciting happening?"

Katsuki did his best to move about the kitchen with haste and ease as he normally would but he knew his movements must appear calculated if not overly cautious. Katsuki was concerned. He was afraid to bump his chest again and yelp or give any tell that he was indeed in immense pain and worry Eijirou further. This was strange given the blondes usual confident demeanor even in times of great distress, hell the class went up against the worlds worst villain organization when they were teens! And he was worried about a little chest pain? The future No.1 Hero wouldn’t lay down so easily.

He glanced up at some point to his hearts fulfillment that Ei was watching him. Words used to describe the Explosion Hero often included abrasive, rude, loud and short tempered but it was these small intimate moments among trusted individuals where Katsuki let his true self show. Spoiling Ei was something he truly enjoyed.. feeding him, setting the table, doing the laundry were just a few chores that left Bakugou’s heart fluttering around in his chest, especially when Eijirou rewarded him by watching. Katsuki had to admit, to himself, that he liked being seen as a caregiver.

Katsuki could practically see the sparkle in Ei’s eyes as he sat down and took in his meal, he hadn’t even tasted it yet but Katsuki knew what was coming: Ei’s completely adorable happy dance that had Bakugou weak. He was listening carefully to the others story, eating cautiously as to not bump his chest for some stupid ass reason like before, when Kiri mentioned being shot… multiple times. Katsuki knew he wasn’t hurt, for one his quirk kept him pretty protected plus he was sitting right here talking, so Katsuki allowed himself to let out a small chuckle. “You really worry about me when you’re the one getting shot and acting like it’s no big deal? Remember that time I got shot few years ago? Shit hurt.” he grinned knowing damn well Ei remembered that day, he was panicked beyond belief for a small bullet wound to the thigh. That was Ei for you, though.

His grin turned into a full on toothy smile for a brief moment as Ei literally moaned at his first bite. Damn that sound was way better than any little happy dance the other exhibited before. The blonde couldn’t help his mind wander shamelessly to what it would sound like for Ei to make such a noise while he ate something else… “Tch. You like food too much.”

“What a fucking idiot.” Bakugou said plainly referring to the completely unprepared robber Ei had to deal with. Ah, there it was, the red heads famous little dance. Katsuki held back his smile and blush, although a faint dust of pink colored his cheeks regardless. He was truthfully too cute for his own good. “I’ll do the dishes like always. Don’t think you need to baby me just because you think I’m hurt.” He thought for a minute. “Not particularly. We had a dumbass with a low level strength enhancing quirk try to destroy the office he was let go from the other day. Shitty attempt at revenge but damnkt did he make it difficult. He grabbed a civilian using them as a human shield so I couldn’t get to him so easily.”

He gave a little snort of a laugh when poked fun at for his concern. "Kat you know very well that stuff like that isn't dangerous unless I'm really tired. It's different if I'm too tired to keep my hardening up, but this wasn't dangerous for me at all, that's why they called me in. I don't go around worrying that you're gonna blow off your hands, now do I? You're quirk is made to handle that stuff!" In truth a small part of him did worry about that, but if Bakugou had to push himself to that extent with his quirk there were many other things to be much more concerned about. He'd never met a villain that Bakugou couldn't take down that resulted in more than broken bones and that was an extremely rare event, unlike with a certain greenette. He was so glad he'd outgrown that habit for the most part...

"You taking a bullet is a lot scarier than when I do it. Unless an impact threatens to break through my hardening, I don't even feel it most of the time." The numbness that came with his quirk was actually one of the things that helped him fight as hard as he did. It was a hell of a lot easier to fight when attacks literally didn't hurt you. The one big drawback though was after having to hold his hardening for too long. Full-body pins and needles were the absolute worst... "I'm fine. Really." Despite the teasing he'd gotten, he knew it for what it was. The same brand of 'I trust in your abilities, but I still worry because I care' that he felt for the blond. It felt nice to be cared about and trusted like that.

"I do like food, but your food is unfairly good. I can't be held responsible for my enjoyment, it's all your fault." He shot back playfully, happily partaking in another bite. One adorable happy dance later (seriously someone as big and built as he was had no business being this cute) and he was humming his agreement. "Yeah... The hostage actually got away because the guy was pointing his gun at him from like ten feet away, but not looking at him and instead looking at me and the police while we tried to reason with him. Literally just had to quietly step away and slip out the back. He didn't even notice he'd lost his hostage till I was moving in and he looked back to adjust his aim as he threatened to shoot." He shook his head at the memory. "Honestly I'm just glad the only thing the store owner had to worry about in the end was a little property damage."

Dammit. He'd really been hoping he would let him help with the dishes this time... Considering how he didn't want to draw attention to the pain he was in, he's honestly a little surprised he would because of it. Leave it to Bakugou to both refuse to acknowledge how much pain he was in while also refusing to take an out when it's offered. "I don't think you're hurt, I know you are. If you insist on doing the dishes too though, I'm not gonna force the issue." You could almost hear the 'yet' at the end of the sentence, making it clear that the blond was being given time, not so much being let off the hook. One disadvantage with his relationship with all his friends, but particularly with Kirishima, they weren't afraid of him, even at his loudest. Eijirou respected him deeply, but he wasn't afraid to push back against his stubbornness if he felt like he needed to. While he wasn't pushing yet, it was clear he would be soon.

Ironically, the rather normal, almost boring events of Bakugou's day worried him even more. While he was glad he hadn't been pushed if he was in this much pain, he also was hyper-aware that an assignment like that had a very low chance of resulting in anything that would slow Bakugou down, let alone cause him this much lasting pain. What was going on...? Why was he hurting and what had caused it? Of comparable importance, how could he help fix it? Unfortunately, the only answer he had was what he'd already suggested, though he would still probably push for him to visit the doctor to get checked just in case. "Crimes of passion are usually pretty easy to deal with at least, just shitty timing from the sound of things. At least now you're home and can relax. And let me try to rub some of the pain away when we're done eating..." As subtle as always, it seems... Seems he was worried enough to not quite last all the way through dinner. Just Katsuki's luck.
