You Must Be New Here, Deku (Alien!Katsuki x Izuku)

Starting a new job was always nerve wracking, but starting a new job in the middle of space surrounded by foreign life forms? That was a bit more intense. Izuku was anxious. That’s not to say he wasn’t always on some level of anxious, but today he experienced a bit more anxiety than usual. It was the start of his new position at the space station and he had no idea what to expect. He wasn’t new to working for the Alliance, he had been an ambassador on Earth for a few years after graduating from University with a bachelor’s in International Relations with a minor in Political Science, but Izuku was ready to leave his home planet and explore what the rest of the galaxy had to offer!
His flight to the space station the previous day was rough, he ended up not feeling well on the ride over and had to spend a good amount of time in the bathroom. This carried over into the landing causing the poor greenette to spend his first night at the space station on the bathroom floor. As he was dizzy, nauseous, and utterly exhausted it dawned on him how alone he was up here. He left his mom, friends, and mentor all to come up here and for what? With the sudden wave of homesickness, not to mention the continued motion sickness, Izuku cried himself to sleep that night. Things would get better he promised as he drifted off to sleep.
Things may have gotten a bit better for the greenette depending on perspective as he now sat in the lobby of HQ sweaty and nauseous from anxiety rather than motion sickness, a fair trade perhaps as he was quite used to using coping skills to dismiss his anxiety—if only they would work today. His head was spinning with the realization that he was in fact alone, in space, surrounded by alien life forms, starting a new path at the ripe age of 25. He would be okay, he tried telling himself, this wasn’t his first encounter with aliens, heck one of his best friends is from Mars. He took a few deep breaths to still his beating heart when he heard a voice from behind him. “Ah, Midoriya you’re here. If you’d follow me I’ll take you to meet your trainer.” Izuku hopped off the chair almost immediately, a huge smile on his face as he saw the familiar one of Aizawa; they had worked together for a year back on Earth. “Aizawa-san!” He chirped happily as he made his way to the older male. “I didn’t know you were transferred here.” To which he was met with a tired sigh.
The two held brief catch-up conversation before Aizawa explained the reasoning for Izuku to have a trainer from a different embassy, given Earth still being one of the newer planets to the Alliance. They arrived at a blurred glass door to which Aizawa swiftly knocked, immediately walking away leaving Izuku a bit dumb founded. “Good luck.” He has said as he turned the corner. Izuku audibly gulped as he awaited his trainer.
