During one of his visits to the city proper for some nice flowers for the house, he had seen the man of his dreams... He worked at some little greasy spoon diner, poor guy. Could do worse, he supposed, but he deserved better. Peter himself had gotten very lucky on that front, but this...? This didn't seem fair at all! He looked so sweet... It had been enough for him to start purposely walking by the diner till he'd figured out his crush's schedule. It became much easier to find him after that.

It wasn't hard to wait for his shift to end and follow him home. He'd waited till long after the sun had set before leaving his van and creeping up to the apartment complex. He'd checked all the apartments on the first floor and then repeated the process on the second. It was admittedly scary to climb up to the second floor to continue his search, but eventually, he'd found the right window, and there he was! Oh, he looked like an angel as he slept... He needed to get a closer look! He reached for the window to try and open it, hoping he'd get lucky...

His fingers gripped the edge of the pane and slowly, gently, he pulled. He couldn't believe his luck! It wasn't locked! Silently he slipped inside, coming over to the bed and carefully sitting himself on the floor. He was so perfect... His heart raced as he watched him sleep, listening to his breathing and any little sounds he might make. What he would give to climb into bed with him and hold him close as he slept... Was he the cuddling type? Would he hold him back if they slept together? The thought made his chest ache and his cheeks warm.

There he stayed, watching him all night, even when his eyelids started to feel heavy. He'd get what sleep he could when he went back home... When he was sure the other was in a deep sleep he got up only to go back over to the window again and pulled a screwdriver from his sleeveless hoodie pocket. He'd figured he might need some tools to get inside and while he hadn't, he could make sure entry was just as easy in the future. He very carefully unscrewed the panel over the locking mechanism and then as quietly as he could, removed the little part that connected the latch so that it would no longer be able to lock. As the apartment wasn't on the ground floor and landlords were notorious for being slow or even refusing to fix things, it was unlikely the latch would be fixed. Pocketing the screwdriver and the tiny part he'd stolen, he returned to sit next to the bed for the rest of the night.

He remained there till the sky started to grow the slightest bit lighter, then he knew he couldn't stay. He needed to get going or the neighbors might see him leaving. It was a little hard to explain away climbing down from a second-floor window so it was important that he leave before anyone woke up!

This eventually became a nightly routine, one that he had to be very careful with and left him little time for sleep, but the constant exhaustion was worth it to get to see his beautiful crush. No... Love. He'd fallen in love. He loved his beautiful eyes, his gorgeous smile, and his laugh---Oh! That laugh! What he would give to hear it without a pane of glass muffling that sweet sound... He slowly grew bolder, first caressing his love's cheek, then allowing his hands to wander other places. Eventually, he'd even gotten up the nerve to get up into the bed to lay with him, his actions escalating night after night till he was doing everything from rubbing one out while laying next to his crush, all the way to finally straddling him in his sleep and grinding against him till he found his end. He was always very meticulous about cleaning up after himself, of course.

But today. Today, he'd gotten beyond lucky. This was his chance! It was here! He'd followed him after he'd left work, but he hadn't gone straight home today. He'd been excited to find out a little more of his routine outside of work, but the last thing he'd expected was for the cutie to not only go visit a park, but to sit himself far away from any of the well-used paths. Completely isolated... Had he noticed him following him? Was this his wordless way of telling him to approach? Surely that was it! He was just shy and didn't want to ask directly! Peter could certainly relate to the anxiety involved with social interaction. Gathering up his nerve, he left his spot from behind a tree and walked up.

He sat himself down on the bench next to the other, unintentionally startling him with how the bench shifted sum under his weight. While he was built very thin, it was all lean muscle and he was rather tall so he wasn't exactly light. He gave a little jump of his own, but raised a hand in a soothing gesture. "Whoa! Hey, take it easy, it's just me." He lowered his hand, smiling in what he hoped was a warm way, but he was pretty sure it was just awkward instead... Ugh, socializing was hard! "You're a jumpy one, aren't ya?" Unable to help himself, the bald man scooted a little closer, just excited to finally get to speak to the guy he'd fallen so fast and hard for.

Those deep blue eyes lock onto the other man's and remain there as words continue to rush out of him, unable to help fill the silence in hopes of making a good impression. "Sooooo.... Are you waiting for a family member, or a friend?" Alright so maybe the question was partially to find out if they would be interrupted by anyone and not just for conversation's sake... "Just seems kind of odd for you to be sitting here, all alone like this, and so far from the jogging track."

Moving away from home was terrifying, to say the least. Sure, he missed his mother and her husband, as well as his little brother, and old college friends, but.... He also didn't miss his abusive father, the bad memories and the feeling he didn't belong, how he stuck out like a sore thumb because he refused to try to fit in. While change was terrifying, it was also liberating. Sure, that liberation was.... mild, at best, more like limited at the moment,, but at least he had a fresh start, even if it came with new challenges. Challenges like needing a roommate in order to pay the bills in a modest 2 bedroom apartment, only for said roommate to be late on rent. Again. It's always this or that, but it was rubbing him the wrong way, especially as it brought back uncomfortable memories of a past lover that cared more about dope than holding a damn job to pay his bills. But, alas, Odhran was a bleeding heart, unable to turn Lucy out to the curb.... Though, it was tempting, some days, especially on nights when she'd bring over some new guy to fuck wildly late into the night, their noises wanton and uncaring for the fact someone needed their sleep so they could be rested for work.

With a sigh, Odhran leaned himself back where he sat on the bench, closing his eyes as the soft late-summer breeze fanned over his body, the sun mild as it danced through the leaves overhead. The water in the stream was flowing calmly today, and the birds weren't as shrill as they could be, more in conversation rather than making flirtatious demands of each other in desperation. Just the right amount of ambient sound, enough to let himself clear his mind, so that he can face whatever bullshit Lucy may have cause while he was gone.

Alas, his peace was disturbed when he felt the park bench shift towards the other side, causing the young man to damn near jump out of his seat. He looked at the stranger with startled eyes, even as the other tried to be soothing, reassuring. "W-well, you just.... Sat down without letting me know you wanted a seat." Odhran responded a little defensively, his cheeks taking on an embarrassed pink hue, highlighting a myriad of small freckles. Though, when the other scooted closer, he scooted a bit further away, unsure of the stranger being so close. And, sure enough, the flush in his features began to pale at the strangers questions, anxiety eating at his nape coldly. "I-I came here to clear my head, g-get away from kids and shitty frat guys.... But I wasn't going to stay t-too long, my roommate is expecting me home soon." Yeah, that should deter any funny business, right? Isn't that something girls sadly have to do sometimes to hopefully up their chances of survival?

Hopefully this was just a painfully awkward guy and not some creepy he should throat punch and run away from. Then again, Odhran didn't have any fighting experience, and while he looked a little stocky, he was also short and tired easily. He canift and pull or push things just fine, but if he had to struggle? He probably wouldn't do too well. At least he could try crying out if all else failed-- he could scream bloody murder if he wanted to, and he found that his voice carried well enough after he let out a venting scream after a rough day during his first week in the city.

"W-what about you? Uh.... You don't, um.... Seem the type to go out much, n-no offence...." Shit, of course his anxious rambling is starting up. "I-I mean-- you look really pale, l-like you're a night owl. O-or a creature of the dark, y'know?" Not helping, and if only he knew the truth. He noticed how the other stared at him, very rarely blinking to wet his eyes, but.... they were a pretty shade of blue, like the deeper parts of the ocean.... though, that's normally where the spooky fish start to appear, like giant squids that will sometimes drag prey to the deeper, darker depths, never to be seen again. Odhran had boring brown eyes, just a dull, yellowish brown that was encircled by an even duller but darker brown ring. Why couldn't he have a pretty brown, like varying shades of chocolate, or even something more like topaz? When he realized that his expression may be giving away his low self-esteem, he shook his head before looking at the other again, focused once more. "S-sorry, got lost in my head a bit, there...."

"Well... Your eyes were closed. I'm not sure how I could have gotten your attention. I'd intended to sit quietly till you'd opened your eyes, but I guess the bench shifted enough to give me away." He smiled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry to have startled you. I really didn't mean to." His smile smoothed out into something softer then as he looked around at the trees and the pretty soft blue of the sky above them. "It is a nice quiet place to relax, isn't it? Maybe I should pay better attention to how pretty nature can be." He was expected home soon? That didn't make sense, not from what information he'd gathered so far. That deadbeat roommate didn't seem to care when he came and went from what he could tell. Probably just an excuse because he was nervous. That made sense. It also made him panic a little that he might miss his chance because his love got too nervous.

He refocused on the guy, large eyes blinking lightly in surprise as his complexion was pointed out. The follow up comparison had his brows pinching as he looked down at his own forearm and the many thin and pale scars that littered it. "Creature...?" Did he think he was ugly? His frown deepened at the thought, his heart aching. The love of his life thought his appearance was monstrous... While he hadn't ever thought he was attractive, per say, he hadn't realized he was that bad off in the look department! Maybe that's why no one had ever been romantically interested in him before. But... Wasn't personality more important than looks? Would he not be able to win his love over by being an incredible boyfriend to him? Would he really fail just because of his appearance? Was there anything he could do to make himself more attractive somehow?

"Huh?" He looked over, eyes a bit wet from his own thoughts. "Oh. It's okay... I... I know it's sudden. Very sudden... But I'd wanted to ask you out on a date. I-I promise I'll do everything I can to make it fun for you to make up for my looks, just... Give me a chance? Please?" His large hands took to anxiously gripping each other between his long, slim legs, shoulders hunched as he pleaded not just with words, but those big soulful eyes. "I promise you won't regret it! Please...?"

"You could have said, 'hey, is that seat taken' from a respectable distance...." Odhran huffed softly, trying to calm down even now. "But, I guess you're learning fir the future, I hope." He added, glancing at the other, noting how he seemed a bit awkward.... Maybe he was right about the stranger not getting out much. Either that, or maybe he's like Odhran with a social disability or something? Regardless, the new person was starting to seem less.... suspicious, at least. Odhran wasn't going to let his guard fall completely, though. "It is really pretty here.... Closest I can get to going to the woods, really. I kinda miss how easy it was to find neat rocks and natural death bones back at my home state. Here it's difficult to find areas you won't get in trouble in." He sighed, before working as a bird let put a shrill sort of call.

When 'creature' was repeated in an odd tone, Odhran panicked faintly, "I-I didn't mean that as an insult, ah-- I meant you look like you may burn if out too long real easy, like a vampire? Vampires are really cool!! Well. Mostly-- we don't acknowledge Stephanie Myers glittery blood suckers." There was a moment of disgust at remembering that series, before he shook it off. "Sorry if it came off bad-- it's been a while since I've been able to talk to anyone at length." Odhran laughed nervously, before looking away. "I mean, don't take this the wrong way, but monsters can be pretty cool, too. Grew up watching horror movies and monster flicks. My first fictional crush was Jack Skellington, if you could believe it." He glanced over, guilt soon taking over his features when he saw how the upset the other seemed.

Why was communication so hard?

However, when the stranger asked for a date, it surprised Odhran, a surprised flush coloring his cheeks. And, gods above and below, the guy was.... so sweet, shy, it seemed.... and forgiving, if he was willing to ask Odhran out after the misunderstanding. "O-oh, uh.... Sure! Um.... What did you have in mind? And you look fine-- sorry again for not being clear, I didn't mean to be rude!!" He stressed again, before carefully, gingerly resting a hand on the other's knee with a shy smile. "How do you feel about an arcade date? I know a good one that has a ticket counter, decent food and fun games!! U-unless you're sensitive to flashing lights, or intense sounds?" He asked, his genuine worry showing through. "And don't force yourself to say yes if that's not your thing-- I'm okay with something tamer, too, like maybe going to the cat Cafe on the south side of town? I like going there when I need a cuddle fix with my caffeine. Unless you're allergic, then maybe something else, too!!" He really wanted to be flexible, hoping to make up for his social blunders with the poor guy sitting next to him. It takes a while to feel people out socially.

The stranger grimaced, looking away as he was given an alternative that didn't involve him closing all the distance he'd wanted to. As it was, keeping himself from continuing to scoot even closer was incredibly difficult. "Sorry... I'll be more careful in the future..." He yielded, knowing it was best to agree to such boundaries, at least for now. He perked up at the bit of personal information he hadn't expected on getting. Well. Now he had some possible gift ideas. He was pretty sure he could find some nice river stones not far from the house and finding corpses shouldn't be too hard. Could probably make some himself if he needed to.

When the unintended insult was backpedaled on, it seemed the damage had already been done, the poor guy's self-esteem getting the better of him. "Nosferatu is a vampire too and I've got plenty in common with him..." He wasn't exactly wrong either. Bald, pale, and with dark rings around his eyes that were so dark they almost didn't look real. If that weren't enough, if one looked close at his mouth as he spoke, those teeth were definitely not shaped like a human's. He looked at himself at the revealing of the fictional crush. "Might have to get myself a fitted pinstripe suit and blackout lenses..." He muttered, though it was hard to tell if the skinny man was joking or not.

He snapped out of his funk as soon as his request was met with a positive answer, sitting up sharply. "You will?! Th-that's great! N-no, an arcade sounds like a lot of fun! Which arcade do you want to go to? Would 7 work for you?" He was excited enough that he was plucking up the hand on his knee, holding it in both of his own and turning to face him fully.

"Thank you.... I just don't appreciate people coming out of nowhere unannounced.... Suffered enough if that from my father." Odhran muttered bitterly at the mention of his sire, before shaking his head. "Unless the fucker manages to find me here of all places, I won't have to worry about dealing with him anymore unless I absolutely had to.... Shit, sorry for dumping all that on you." Thet laughed nervously, rubbing at their neck. "Do you collect anything....?" They asked, hoping to learn a little more about the other, and change the subject.

When the other spoke dejectedly, Odhran frowned softly. "You're more handsome, and less insidious than that guy.... Wait, are your teeth sharp?" They asked, awed wonder making their eyes widen. "Thats so cool!! Are they natural, or was that a dental mod?" They asked, tilting their body to try to get a better look. "I wonder what they'd feel like...." The young adult muttered faintly, barely over a whisper. Though, at the other's possible cosplay idea, Odhran blushed darkly. ".... If you're not opposed to me being a male Sally, I wouldn't mind doing a duo cosplay for Halloween!!" He smiled, eager to make another potential cosplay buddy.

When the other's mood shifted positively, they smiled warmly, nodding softly. "Galaxy 28, on Cherry Street. And yeah, 7 would work just nicely!! Though, dress to stay cool, it can be a bit warm in there, especially if we do any DDR or any other physical games!" Though, their face burned a bit when their hand was taken so gently in the other's, and they noticed how big his hands were, making even their ears burn. "M-my, what big hands you have.... mine look so tiny...." They laughed nervously, cursing how tiny their hands were.

He had daddy issues, did he? Noted. He'd have to look into that later... For now, he was focused on making this work. The last thing he wanted was for all of this to fall apart because he was careless. "It's alright... Thank you for trusting me enough to talk about it. Hmmm... I don't really have a collection, not really. If you're trying to find a hobby, I do play the piano. I like people watching too." It wasn't much and one of those was only a half-truth, but if he was interested enough to want to get to know him, he wasn't about to miss that chance.

He was a little surprised to find the other was so determined to defend him only to snap his mouth shut when his teeth were noticed. Shit! Fuck!! He was hoping he wouldn't notice those for a while! Wait. "Cool? You... You think they're cool?" He echoed, unable to believe what he was hearing. He liked his teeth? That was one worry off his list of worries! Hold on, he wanted to feel them?! "They came in like this when I lost my baby teeth." The wide smirk that pulled at his lips then was shockingly lustful in comparison to the sweet and awkward persona he'd shown so far. "Don't worry, darling, I don't bite... Unless you want me to." He lifted the hand he'd taken a hold of, pressing a kiss to his knuckles then, all the while lust blown eyes watching him from other heavy lids.

He chuckled softly as the size of his hands were brought up. "You like that?" He asked, turning his hand palm up, he allowed himself to be looked at as his new boyfriend pleased. He hadn't even thought about the fact that turning his arm this way would make the thin, pale scars all over his forearms that much easier to spot. "Galaxy 28, huh? As much as it pains me, I should probably get going so I can get cleaned up before our date. Just don't tease me too much, I haven't played things like DDR in like, forever." Very reluctantly, he stood himself up and even more reluctantly he let the other's hand go. He really should get going if he wanted to have enough time to shower then head to the arcade.

Odhran was glad the other wasn't put off from the mild trauma dump forced upon him, and it almost felt.... Validating not to be told that he should try to reconnect or some shit, let alone forgive the bastard. When the stranger mentioned playing the piano, they lit up with interest. "What kind of music do you prefer playing? " Odhran asked then, wondering if he preferred classical, or music that bore different moods in the melody.

Odhran was deeply fascinated when the stranger explained his teeth, and it made them wonder how it was possible.... Only for the other to oh so boldly smirk, showing of those sharky whites, and shamelessly flirt with the diner employee. Then, came the kiss to their knuckles, and Odhran's poor face turned such a pretty strawberry red, highlighting the faint freckles on the cheeks and nose. "O-oh.... uh.... B-biting would have to come a-at least after the third date...." They squeaked out meekly, eyes wide but averted elsewhere. That was quite the 180 in the stranger-- and how the HEL was it so effective?!?! It's not every day that Odhran was flirted with, especially as boldly as the other was being!! Though, they had to admit, it felt.... Nice, especially when the other called them darling in such a.... Wanting tone.

"A-a bit, yeah...." Odhran stammered out, and swallowed softly. They looked at the other's palm curiously, their smaller hands gently exploring the others longer fingers, the broad palm.... Though, when they noticed the scars on the stranger, there was a flicker of recognition, but they didn't linger, instead running a thumb along the creases in the other's palm, soothing himself with the gently repetitive action, allowing his flush to fade. When the stranger spoke again, they looked into the other's deep blue eyes once more, and almost pouted that their time was so short. "O-oh, right-- and I won't tease you!! I mostly play on easy mode cuz it's hard to keep track of where my feet are at times." They laughed nervously. "Hopefully I won't fall on ya or something embarrassing like that." They watched as the stranger reluctantly let them go, and bid them farewell as he left to get ready for their date. "I-I'll see you there!!" They called after the other, before slowly getting up to head home themselves, wanting to freshen up and change.

Odhran just hoped that the date would go well, that maybe this guy was just.... Awkward but harmless.... Well, spare for the whiplash of finding out he can be pretty.... Potent with flirtation.
