Home Sweet Home [ShinsouxKatsuki]

This was the worst fucking nightmare Shinsou ever had. Fuck being a hero, fuck being a vigilante, hell, fuck being a decent human being. Hitoshi was tired, all he wanted to do was go back to his room, tuck himself in, and pretend none of this was happening. Instead he was standing between an 8 foot tall giant with tentacles for arms and a crying little girl. “Heroes' work is never done, I suppose.” he sighed to himself, holding the capture weapon he used on patrol in his hands. Without turning around, not even daring to take his gaze away from the monster in front of him, he commanded the little girl to flee, to get back, to move; but all she did was sink into herself. There wasn’t exactly enough room in the halls for Hitoshi to move effectively, add on the crying little girl and he was pretty much useless.
The hero tried to strategize, this was going to be one of the hardest fights of his life. He chuckled to himself when his first thought was wishing Aizawa was here to critique him like the old days.
“C’mon you brute, don’t you want to hit me?” it was a stupid attempt, of course he wouldn't be able to use mind control, Shinsou wasn’t an idiot, he knew this wasn’t exactly a person that could respond to him. Against his better judgment he charged, using the wall to gain height on the giant. Swiftly he dodged a punch, the giant's tentacle hand slammed into the elevator door next to them, disabling it, as he used his capture weapon to wrap around the other arm, disabling him for now. A grin spread on Hitoshi’s pretty face just as he landed a nasty kick to the things head, sending it stumbling backwards. Hitoshi landed on his feet, recalling his weapon with the intention to wrap it around the confused thing's neck when suddenly more tentacles launched from the things chest, wrapping around the hero and throwing him against the wall.
He screamed out in pain, struggling against the unwanted embrace, which did nothing but make the thing laugh. “F-fuck! Let go of me, you FREAK!” He trashed against the wall, hoping it would get the thing to let go but to his dismay it caused the monster to lift him off the ground. With his legs dangling, his best methods of attack useless, Hitoshi began to think this was the end.
Hours before, he was settling in after a long double patrol, sitting comfortably on the couch, scrolling through social media while trash TV kept him company. His eyes grew weary, closing for what felt like a second, when a scream down the hall startled his heart. Without even thinking, Hitoshi jumped to his feet, grabbed the capture weapon he left hanging on the coat rack by the front door, and ran down the hall in his house shoes. A decision that was about to get him killed.
Since childhood, Hitoshi wanted nothing more than to be a hero, but when his quirk developed the adults in his life wrote that dream off for him. Now though, after his acceptance to UA and intimate apprenticeship with Aizawa, Mind Break was a great Hero, slowly making his way into the top 10. Look where that got him, all that fight he put up to be a hero and it doesn’t even matter anymore. By the looks of it, he was done for, and so was the little girl he tried so desperately to save. If only he were a better hero, had a better quirk, if only he were like Katsuki…
If this was going to be his last moment, Shinsou cursed himself. There was so much he hadn’t done, so much he didn’t say…
