Still A Better Love Story Than… Wait… [Twilight AU Vampire!TomuraxOchaco]

Post by MTheQueen »

Moving was… rough. Especially this late into high school. Ochaco was more than a little apprehensive of her parents’ decision to pack everything up and move so far away from home, but she was doing her best to be supportive! If they weren’t able to afford living here and there was the promise of better jobs and money elsewhere, then that’s what they should do! She could adjust, make new friends and continue her hobbies! The sky didn’t change just because her location did. Sure, light pollution was rough for star-gazing, but she’d figure it out!

Thankfully they moved into their small apartment on a weekend and Ochaco didn’t have a ton of stuff so moving in was practically a breeze for herself. Then there was three people to get everything else moved in instead of just her parents, and none of them were in a rush to get their respective rooms set up. It also meant Ochaco had some time to relax and scout out a good path to her school and some nicer looking walking paths and make sure that her little succulents had the best spot on her window sill for light. Yeah! This was gonna work! Things were looking up!

That didn’t stop her from being a bundle of nerves her first day. She pulled her light pink jacket around herself as she went from class to class, but by the time lunch rolled around she had actually made a pair of friends! They got her to open up and relax a bit, inviting her to sit with them at lunch. And honestly, she couldn’t be more grateful for that! Sitting alone terrified her a little bit.

She slid into the chair beside Izuku Midoriya, her other new friend, Tenya Iida, moving in beside her. They started to chat with her and learn more about her when an… interesting group across the lunch room caught her eye.

She had no good way to describe the group as eccentric. A collection of people in mostly black huddle around a table together. A boy with piercing blue eyes and shaggy black hair, another with a blond buzz cut and a nasty scar in the center of his forehead, a third with bright pink hair and focused on a gaming system in his hand. A blonde girl with intense yellow eyes was watching a brunette guy do a card trick. And watching them- as well as everyone else in the cafeteria- with severe disinterest was a pale boy with shaggy, light blue hair.

“Who’re they?” she asked, gesturing to the group of almost goth kids.

”Hm?” Izuku perked up, following her gaze. “Oh! They’re what everyone calls the League.”

Iida nodded, lowering his bottle of orange juice. “They’re called that as they typically aren’t seen conversing with others. They prefer each other. ‘A league of their own,’ I think someone once put it.”

”I just try to avoid them,” Izuku said, shrugging as he looked back at his sandwich. “They’re… not the best crowd to hang around.”

Ochaco nodded slowly, filing that information away for later. She figured she wouldn’t really need it though. It wasn’t like she’d really end up crossing paths with them, right?

After lunch was chemistry, and the world immediately took to proving her wrong.

”Class, this is our new student, Ochaco Uraraka,” the teacher explained, gesturing yo the girl. “Ochaco, why don’t you go ahead and take a seat next to Tomura? He’s that boy there.”

She followed to where the teacher was pointing to see the light-blue-haired boy from lunch, the only free seat beside him. They made eye contact and she swore a chill ran down her spine- though that may just have been because the fan had turned to face her and blew against her back. She nodded to the teacher, shuffling off to her new seat. She slid in by Tomura, pausing for a second before giving him a gentle smile and a little wave. “Hi… it’s nice to meet you.”
