Ochaco slowly let herself relax into Katsuki's hold, her trembling slowing down to a gentle shaking every once in a while. Her sobs relaxed and faded away, tears just silently rolling down her cheeks. The rocking absolutely helped just like it always had. There was still a part of her that felt guilty for snuggling up to her ex-fiancé, but she needed the comfort right now. A fact she knew that Kirishima knew. She tilted her head slightly to look in Eijirou's direction as he spoke up.
She caught onto his offer of an out, letting out a shaky breath and nodding. “Y-Yeah... I’m sorry I’m reacting so bad, I just...” She shook her head, hiding her face in Katsuki’s chest. Neither man was stupid, she knew that. Katsuki likely already knew that that wasn’t what was happening here. “I’ve been having a really rough time lately and... I guess it all came pouring out. Just— Just give me a little bit... I’ll be okay.”
She didn’t want to be the center of attention here, especially after Katsuki just had his own breakdown. She snuggled a bit more into the blond, just trying to relax and calm herself down. She let her eyes fall shut, just taking in his comforting presence. Focusing on her breathing and doing her best to center herself in the moment. She calmed herself down after a short while, pulling back a bit from Katsuki and wiping at her eyes. “I’m okay now. Sorry about that...”
.....
The blond continued to hold and rock her, pointedly keeping his breathing even like she had for him back at the coffee shop when he was having his own fit. An unintentional side effect of her own anxiety attack was that his hero instincts knee-jerked into place and how he'd very much forgotten his own distress in favor of tending to hers. Slowly but surely, she settled down and grew quieter, but he made no move to let her go. Katsuki fully intended on holding her till she felt well enough to withdraw on her own. A part of him felt guilty for enjoying having her pressed against him, but he ignored that part of himself for the most part in favor of soothing her anxiety which was much more important at the moment.
Kirishima let out a breath he hadn't noticed he was holding when she took the offered lie to escape whatever it was that had upset her. It sounded like they would be talking about a whole lot once they got back to the apartment. Or maybe not. It wasn't really their place to try and get something like whatever this was out of her, but he couldn't help but be worried. They had all missed her after she'd moved away and Kirishima himself had been no exception, even if her leaving had directly affected his getting together with Katsuki, something he still felt guilty for.
"Hey, it's alright! We all have our downswings and it's okay to have those. What's important now is that you're back and we're here for you. We'll get lots of chances to make lots of memories together and take lots of pictures too! Hey... We should throw you a 'welcome back' party to kick things off! How does that sound? I'm sure everyone would be super hyped for that." The faux redhead went on, trying to offer what comfort he could from where he was. It was a little difficult as he couldn't exactly hug her whiled driving, not to mention clear across the fairly large van.
Meanwhile, Katsuki continued right on comforting her best he could with touch. He'd always been hard-pressed to comfort with words. It's not that he couldn't, he'd very much learned how to and was fairly good at it, but he was still uncomfortable doing it. A part of his mind still told him that doing something held more weight than saying something. This wasn't always true, but he couldn't help feeling this way. All the same, that left him holding her for as long as she needed it, even rubbing her back gently to help her come down.
In time, she'd come down enough to lean back a bit, though she didn't leave his embrace just yet. Fuck... He'd missed her so much... "Don't be sorry. You were there plenty of times for me before and you've already proven that you still are. I promised the same and I feel like I failed you in that respect. I'm going to make up for it now." He rumbled softly to her and before he realized it, he was leaning in to press a gentle kiss to her forehead. He instantly realized how intimate that was and how he really shouldn't have done that, but it was too late, he'd done it. He could feel his heart pounding as he leaned back to reestablish the space between them, trying to act like what he'd done wasn't out of place. The pink blooming on his cheeks was not helping...
.....
Ochaco smiled softly, nodding as she looked up at Kirishima. She was so, so grateful to see that he wasn’t mad at her at all. Or, if he was, he didn’t let it show. He was doing his best to cheer her up and make her look forward to the future. “I’d love to do that. It’d be great to see everyone together again. Just let me help set it all up. I’d feel bad making you two do that all on your own.” Setting up and planning a party all by yourself was stressful and she was sure the two of them had plenty of that in their lives being pro heroes. And they had a baby on the way. If there was any way that she could help keep stress down in their lives then she’d happily do so, especially when it explicitly involved her.
She straightened up as Katsuki told her she didn’t need to be sorry, her heart squeezing in her chest. Her cheeks flushed a deep red color as he kissed her forehead just after. Did he just...? Did he really just kiss her forehead? Was- Was it just a friendly thing? Was it something more? No way- there was no way it was something more. He was married to Eijirou. It had to be a friendly thing!!
She shook her head- and also shook her confused thoughts away- before hugging him tightly again and shutting her eyes. She hid her face in his shoulder, mostly covering up her blush. “I never said it enough in the end, but you were there for me. You were. But you were hurting and struggling too. I wasn’t fair to you. We weren’t fair to each other. I’m just glad that you and Kiri are doing really well and that you’re willing to be friends again.” She let out a soft sigh, just enjoying his hold around her. It still felt so safe. He felt like home…
She’d missed that, to be honest. The feeling of leaning into someone and just fitting against them. She had that with Kiyoshi, of course, but it felt like forever since that night. This feeling… She didn’t realize that she had been missing it until now and it almost made her cry again. She was quick to swallow down those feelings, though, not wanting to create a scene and draw even more attention to herself.
Instead, she just pulled back, tilting her head to the side and giving Katsuki a warm smile. “But… let's move on from the heavy stuff. You and I have a brownie to finish off before it isn’t warm anymore.” She picked up the brownie box, offering it to Katsuki.

Re: How The Hell Did You Get Pregnant?! [Ochako x Katsuki/Kirishima]
"Hn, like my life isn't just paperwork already... I have plenty of spare time even on the clock..." Grumbled the blond with an eye roll. He knew he was helping by doing all of his agency's paperwork for everyone and further knew that he was the best at it. That didn't change the fact that he missed being out on the field. He was already starting to lose muscle mass and though it wasn't much yet, he also knew this was only the start. He'd lose more before this was all over and he knew that he would have to wait to recover from the birthing process before he could even start to reverse the process. Ugh... He hoped the stretch marks wouldn't be too bad with all the specialized lotions he was all but bathing in. "You and I can put this shit together. I know everyone's schedule anyway as I'm doubling as the dispatcher for now too."
While she had an internal panic about his forehead kiss, he had one of his own. He was sure Eijirou hadn't seen it as he was driving, but had he overstepped himself? Had he screwed things up with the tattered remains of a relationship he still wished hadn't ended? Before his mind could get too lost in his internal panic she was moving, snuggling up to his shoulder. Honestly, he wasn't sure if this was better or worse. He was married! Was she just accepting his behavior as friendly or was he unintentionally leading her on? He was even more torn when she spoke, his heart aching as his own shortcomings were excused.
"It wasn't enough..." His voice sounded tight and already he could feel the tears threatening to trickle down his cheeks again. "I will stop at nothing to be the best at anything I think is worth my time and you were the most important thing to me... My pain didn't matter, I've trucked through that shit all my life. I wasn't good enough. My best wasn't good enough... What am I even worth if I fucked it up that bad with you...? I... I-I've tried to get better so that never happens again, I swear, but... Fuck... What if I'm not good enough again...? What if I fuck it all up and he takes the baby and goes? I-I'll be all alone..." The more he poured out to her the more quietly he spoke till he was whispering for her alone. And there were the tears.
While he was no stranger to the urge to cry, he never did in front of anyone but Izuku. While he'd technically cried in Kirishima's arms after a particularly bad Kamino nightmare, he still hadn't allowed him to see, keeping his head bowed and face hidden the whole time. There were a few very rare incidents after that in the same fashion. Another exception was made when he'd gotten together with Ochako herself, though like before, he always hid his face. It was at this point that a pattern started to form, if you were looking for it. He allowed himself to cry in front of her openly only after they were engaged. Later on, the same was true with Kirishima, allowing the redhead to see his tears only after the promise of marriage. Now though... Now his hormones were going ape shit and he cried at the drop of a hat, much to his frustration. Being in public like they were now had no effect on his ability to stop it either...
Despite the pain and fear he was obviously in, he never once stopped holding her, nor did he stop rubbing her back. He offered no less comfort to her even as he struggled with himself. "Ochako... I-I can't lose him too..." The soul-deep fear in his quiet voice was just so unlike him... It couldn't be surprising that he was being so quiet about it, though what was shocking was that he was clearly trying to keep this fear a secret from his doting husband.
He sniffled as she pulled back and gingerly tried to change the subject. Yeah... This wasn't the place to be having a breakdown. He should at least hold it in till they were back at their home. "Yeah... The whipped cream will melt too..." He muttered, rubbing the tears from his face and gathering himself back up again. Taking the box, he scooped up a spoonful of brownie for himself and set to chewing only to once again offer her a spoonful. It was a nice distraction and indeed he seemed to be a little more in control again now that he was focused on something else.

Re: How The Hell Did You Get Pregnant?! [Ochako x Katsuki/Kirishima]
Ochaco focused on her breathing just a touch more, doing her best to calm herself down and keep herself there now that she'd stopped crying. After all, it wouldn't do either of them any good if she started up again. The whole point of this meeting wasn't for her to blubber and cry and force Katsuki into a position where he needed to comfort her. It was to clear the air. Bury the hatchet. Make sure that if there was one thing that she could do right. That she could make up with the most important man in her life and at least see him be happy.
But just because she'd apologized and admitted to fucking up didn't mean everything was okay. She knew how badly she'd hurt Katsuki by leaving. Someone had to be completely delusion about how the world worked to assume that anyone would be okay after that. But she hadn't realized how much she'd meant. How much it'd affect him. Her throat tightened as he murmured to her and explained his worries, that painful heat that always preceded another bout of tears rose in her chest, throat, and face. And there he was, crying openly in front of her. Her mention of the brownie was forgotten in her own mind even as he seemed to quickly pull himself together with the new distraction. She swallowed thickly, doing her best to calm down- once again- as she took the bite of brownie. She was quiet for a bit before speaking again, softly. "Bakugou... That won't happen." She looked up at him, reaching up to wipe away the few tears left on his cheeks and make sure that his eyes had dried.
"I know... I can only say so much that'll comfort you. And I probably sound like a broken record... But Kirishima- he's so much better for you than I was. I can tell. He won't take off on you like I did. He won't take your daughter and leave you alone. I know he won't. We both do. And you are good enough. I promise you are. What happened all those years ago... We were both to blame, sure... But I was the one to leave. I pulled the trigger. I abandoned you." She cupped his cheek gently. "None of that was your fault. And I know you'll try saying that it was, but it wasn't. You won't lose him. I know for a fact you won't."
She gave him a gentle smile, rubbing his cheek. "Chin up, Firecracker. You're going to be okay. More than okay. And you're going to be a kickass dad and your daughter is the luckiest little girl to have as cool of dads as she's got."

Re: How The Hell Did You Get Pregnant?! [Ochako x Katsuki/Kirishima]
He let out a shuttering sigh as she insisted that Eijirou wouldn't leave him, not to mention take their child with him as he does. Still, he was notoriously stubborn and the way he broke eye contact made it clear he couldn't quite bring himself to believe her. At the very least, he doesn't argue with her and instead focuses on getting them past his embarrassing lapse of control. His eyes closed as her hands found their way to his cheeks, her gentle touch wiping away the last of his more recent upset. He could wait till they were in the privacy of their home.
Would he make a good father? She didn't seem sure about that before... Was she just saying that to make him feel better? He wasn't sure, but he wasn't quite ready to accept her encouragements as truth just yet. Still, she was trying so hard to cheer him up, he couldn't just ignore her efforts. "I'd better. Half the kid's genes are mine and if there's anything my mother taught me is that her genes are the dominant ones. Kid's gonna be a handful if my genes have anything to say about it." He was only half-joking as he honestly expected the little one inside him to be a little menace. He'd love her with all of him regardless.
Another bit of brownie found its way into his mouth then another offered to hers. He looked out the window for a moment while he had the chance, mouth busy with chewing. Once he swallowed, he revealed why. "That's home." He pointed to a wall with a gate in it just up the street with his fork.
Sure enough, the van was slowing to a stop by the gate and Eijirou's hand was reaching up to press a button, the wooden privacy gate opening up to allow them to drive in, the doors gently swinging shut behind them. The home was incredibly private, surrounded on all sides with walls, not surprising as high-profile heroes are happier out of sight when off duty. What was surprising was how quaint and almost traditional the outside looked. There was a little garden out front with small, well-kept trees on either side of the path leading up to the porch. All things considered, this place looked right up Kirishima's alley.
The van was shut off and seat belts started to be unbuckled, Eijirou hopping out to open the door for them. "Home sweet home." He announced, helping first one then the other out of the van. He lead the way to the front door and let them inside, revealing the inside to be much more modern than it's outside. It was clean and organized, the decor simple. This was clearly Katsuki's influence. In spite of this, there were little touches and splashes of color that hinted that Kirishima had a say as well and there were items that clearly didn't belong, an adorable bunny plush on the couch, every gaming system known to man hooked up to the large TV in the living room, a c-frame hammock chair... While the plush was the only one obviously out of place, the shoe rack told a clearer story. Sitting there neatly were a set of the loafers that Katsuki was fond of and sure enough was slipping his feet into. Next to those were the red crocs that Eijirou was easing onto his feet. There were some plain slippers, clearly meant for guests, but then there were several more that were more personal. A set of All Might slippers, some traditional geta, a set of leather sandals, a set of very fluffy pink slippers, and a set of pikachu slippers. As antisocial as Bakugou had always been known to be, it appeared that his friends had made themselves very much at home here.

Re: How The Hell Did You Get Pregnant?! [Ochako x Katsuki/Kirishima]
Ochaco gave Katsuki a soft smile as they settled back into a gentle routine of eating the brownie and he gave her a half-joke. He may not be entirely settled or comforted- that would be up to Eijiro, she knew that much- he at least was settled back into a clearer state of mind. She did her best to keep her own mind clear and calm, knowing that if she got worked up again it would just restart this whole cycle of them ramping each other up. She couldn't do that to him. Not again. She'd torn him down more than once now. It was time to make up for all of that. And... if he decided to help her, to dive deep into what was wrong with her and what had happened, that was his choice. But she wouldn't drag him there. She couldn't drag him there. Good friends didn't do that to each other and she'd been a shitty friend to him for so long now. A shitty friend to so many people, in fact. She made a mental note that she had a lot of making up to do.
She looked up as the car slowed and then as Kirishima pointed out where they called home, smiling softly. A private, gated home with a nice little garden. It was nice. Very nice. Protective but still welcoming. She smiled sweetly at Eijiro as he helped both her and Katsuki out, saying a soft "thank you" as she let go of his hand. She followed them inside, blinking a bit. The contrast between a traditional outside and a modern inside caught her a bit off guard but she got used to it rather quickly. It made sense that Katsuki would spring for something more modern. She rubbed at her arm slightly as her eyes scanned the room, moving from object to object and making a mental note of just how far Katsuki had come. How much he had developed. With Eijiro at hit side it seemed like he'd opened up, welcoming in an atmosphere that suited him but also accommodated his friends and counted on them visiting. It was nice- something she reminded herself as she swallowed a pang of envy that he had been so different with her.
This was good for him. Eijiro was good for him. That much could be said and she would leave it there. She slipped her shoes off and stepped into a sert of the guest slippers, moving to stand near one of the couches. She still looked around, a gentle, happy expression on her face. "You guys have such a nice home. It's so nice!"
