Black-Blooded Hero and Sorcerer-- JJK × SE Au (Yuji/Sukuna × Megumi)

Post by LovelyBones »

Yuji Itadori never wanted this sort of lifestyle for himself, nor would he wish it upon anyone else. Unfortunately, after a series of events he can hardly remember know, his world was thrown upside down, and he had a serious problem he had to live with. He was a good kid-- still is-- and he had a decent life ahead of him!! He was well-liked by most he interacted with, was a natural adept when it came to sports and other physical activity, and he had a good head on his shoulders, even if it meant he could be too trusting at times.

Alas, that had led to him being lured in by a witch, feigning weakness, asking for his help, only fornthe poor young man to go through Hell and back. Drop by agonizing drop, his blood was replaced with what felt and looked like boiling tar, earning night after night of anguished, tormented screams, only for him to fall silent, asleep. He'd thought he'd died-- he was always scared of death, but had welcomed it at that point after everything that had happened-- but he woke up, covered in the witch's blood, the lab around him ablaze, the equipment either crushed, dismantled or protruding through the women's corpse. There was an odd.... light in his hand, it was tangible, like an almost perfectly round water balloon, but it was warm, but quivering, as if in fear.
"Eat it." Without a thought, he ate the orb, and almost gagged at the salty, almost slimy texture it had, like someone had tossed a slug in some salt. But, what bothered him the most was how hungry he felt, his stomach growling harshly as if he'd been starved for DAYS.

Yuji hated it, and he hated that place almost as much.

After finding an unmonitored donation bin, and finding himself some new clothes-- an all too large red hoodie and some too- short navy blue pants, as well as some okay red shoes-- he began wandering around, scared and lost. Every shadow had him on edge-- his own the most. It was him, yet.... he couldn't explain it, really. At times, he swore he saw a smile in it, a smug grin.

Eventually, after the young man had pointedly avoided the public, that voice came back into his head, annoyed.
"If you don't eat something, I'll force feed us garbage, brat. Or, better yet, we can drag someone out of a nearby bar and I can handle the dirty work, how does that sound?" Yuji was naturally startled, especially as his shadow refused to even pretend to share his same posture, frightened and rightfully so. The shadow even appeared to wear different clothes, and even had an extra pair of arms!! But, Yuji feared what the other meant the most, especially as he felt his control slip away, as if he was being forced into the backseat of a car, while someone else took the wheel.

It was a miracle he was able to stop the other entity inside of him from cutting up some girl-- she had a blue light in her chest-- but he only felt even hungrier, his stomach tying into knots with each passing moment. Of course the other voice was pissed, but he was more shocked that Yuji was able to take the wheel back, let alone as quickly as he had. After what felt like hours of explanation, Yuji came to learn what he had become, why he'd been chosen, and who was now sharing his body.

Sukuna, the Kishiin.

Now, Yuji really didn't know what that truly meant-- he rightfully assumed it was something terrifyingly bad, but what he knew for certain was that this kishiin was starving-- he was starving-- and if he wanted to have any hope of avoiding needless death, keep his soul as clean as he could, despite the unwilling taint, he had to eat red souls. Not too much of a problem, right? The only problem was the fact those souls came in different sizes, strengths-- he'd lost a hand and some of his fingers while fighting what looked like a pale Caterpillar-- but, in the end, they seemed about the same. They tasted like copper, were disgustingly slick, and they felt like he'd eaten too much rich meat in one sitting.

Well, there was also the issue that once he'd either cleared a town out, or had to run to avoid getting caught, he'd have to find another place to eat at. One would think with how shitty the world was, the supply would'nt feel so.... limited.

Yuji and Sukuna eventually found themselves in Italy, and after some careful investigating, planning, they began their hunt.

Alas, it would only be one soul for the eating, but it was large, brimming with sins that made Yuji turn away as his black blood boiled, marking his skin as Sukuna took the wheel. They'd found a paster in his church after hours, betraying the trust of one of the children he was supposed to guide and protect. The child was sent free, but.... Sukuna took a little too much pleasure in beating the man into a bloody mess, pathetically wheezing out pleas for forgiveness, to be rescued by the God he claimed to be in service to. His soul was red like the rest-- Yuji had no problem letting his alter be a sadist, play with their food.

"Is this what a 'Man of God' is supposed to look like? Pathetic." The Kishiin threw the mangled body of the pastor against his altar, sneering at how a few more bones cracked as a sad little whimper escaped the predator they had caught. " You humans are no more than maggots writhing in roadkill-- but you? You really take the cake." He scoffed, before lifting the man up by his throat with a black-clawed hand, his other winding back, hand flat like a spearhead. " Have fun in Hell~" He laughed mockingly, before plunging his hand deep into the other's chest, ripping not only his soul, but also his still-beating heart out, watching with amusement as the pastor gasped for air, eyes wide as his one intact arm feebly tried to cover the hole in his chest, only to go limp within seconds. " Pathetic little creatures...." he repeated to himself, before swallowing both heart and soul in one swallow. Sukuna began to lick his fingers clean-- it was annoying how his brat complained about being covered in blood, at least he made sure to throw his hoodie aside at least so that wouldnt be stained. Navy blue seemed to be easier to wash blood stains out of, at least to an extent.

Yuji came back to the wheel shortly after, grimacing at the taste left over on his tongue, and he looked away from the mess Sukuna had left behind. "You really made a mess of him-- and while I'm glad you didn't get blood on my hoodie again, but there's still blood all over us--" he groaned, blood splatter on his chest, and a trail down his chin. He headed over towards the holy water basin-- looked like it was prepared for a baptism or something-- and began washing up as best he could, unaware of the footsteps quietly echoing closer down the hallway leading to the chapel.

Megumi Fushiguro was born into a life hat had never truly been his own. A mother that felt no love for him, and a father that felt nothing at all. His mother was a witch, a powerful one, and his father was a non-weapon from a Weapon Clan. A stain in their bloodline, and only a growing curse to their family name when he married a witch and took her name instead. Shameful, talentless, worthless, and in the eyes of the Zen'in family, so was Megumi. Until of course he transformed into a weapon at the age of four. Despite his parentage, he was powerful, and had the added abilities of his mother's blood was strong as well. Then, the Zen'in wanted nothing more than to have him in their grasp, and promised a lump sum of cash as well as protection from the DWMA for his involvement with a witch in return for young Megumi. A father he'd never known selling him to a family who only wanted him for his powerm the potential within it.

Megumi didn't really care. As long as his sister, Tsumiki, was kept safe and happy, Megumi really didn't care what happened to him. He would be a bartering chip for his parents as long as they wanted, it didn't matter to him. The only home he'd ever really known was with his sister, so when Gojo Satoru came to offer him something more, it still didn't really matter to him. But then Gojo had offered to keep his sister safe, and he didn't hesitate to take the older boy's hand.

And truly, he'd really only been a boy at the time, but Gojo had already become the God of Death's most trusted Meister, power unmatched by any mortal on Earth. Some even said Gojo's power was rivaled only by the God's. He'd partnered with a number of weapons, turning them into Death Scythes in record time. And yet he'd chosen Megumi as some sort of heir and next weapon partner, after killing the boy's estranged father. He didn't care for Gojo's reasoning, or his dead father. Megumi only cared for Tsumiki, and had gone along with the boy.

That was years ago. Goals had changed, Tsumiki fell ill, and everything in the world seemed colder. Despite Megumi's status as a Weapon and as Gojo's partner, he didn't often go on missions with the man. Once upon a time, it was because the DWMA considered him too young to be faced with danger, but secretly Megumi wondered if it was because of the way that Gojo had acquired him, if they felt wrong about letting him out there knowing he'd been simply picked by the Meister on a whim. Or maybe it was the fact Megumi was a sorcerer, son of a witch, and used those abilities without shame. What had he to be ashamed of, after being raised by the most powerful mortal on Earth? He simply didn't care about what anyone had to say, he did what was necessary. Gojo never seemed bothered by it.

The fact this mission seemed severe enough that the DWMA's council swallowed all reservations and sent both Megumi and Satoru just spoke to how difficult it would have to be to complete.

A soul so corrupt the council and even Death himself feared it would turn into something adjacent to the Kishin himself. It was in a chapel of all things, and if there was one thing that ever successfully got both Megumi and Gojo's blood boiling, it was the act of authority figures taking advantage of those in their care. Megumi could only imagine what a human would have to do to be corrupted so wholly as to be on the way to becoming an entirely different being. The fact the council had only cared when it got that bad left Megumi's own soul unsettled. But it didn't matter, they were there now, and would not leave until the monster was dead and their soul had been absorbed by Megumi.

"Huh?" Satoru perked from next to him, the both of them coming up on the chapel. It drew Megumi's own attention, staring at the older man before he turned his eyes on the large doors before him.

After staring, and Satoru not moving an inch, he finally asked, "What?" to which his mentor just seemed to squint beneath his blindfold. Which just earned a glare from Megumi. What a useless movement when they both knew his "sight" had never worked like that.

"I'm pretty sure I just... No, can't be." He muttered to himself and that more than anything before gained Megumi's interest. Whatever it was the man was "seeing" had obviously put him in a right state. He hadn't even noticed that Megumi had walked up to the doors, pushing them open. The god-like Meister whipped around to him, shock painting his face for once, "Megumi, wait-"

But it was too late, Megumi had pushed the doors open all the way, and came upon a truly grotesque scene.

On the ground laid their target. They were planning on killing him just the same but seeing his heart and soul both ripped from his chest, leaving only a husk of pouring blood behind was a different thing entirely. The scene should have been nightmarish, really, but all Megumi could really think about was the fact he wanted to be the one tearing into the horrid man's flesh, or have his Shikigami do it for him. He wanted to watch him writhe in the agony he'd caused others. Satoru wouldn't have faulted him for it, and he was sure that no one that mattered ever would. He'd been a monster. Still, the fact remained that another monster stand before him, covered in blood, washing it off it holy water. Somehow, he didn't feel inclined to attack, even as Satoru came up beside him, staring before he grinned.

"Yo! Were you the one who cleaned our mess for us?" Megumi would never be fooled by the man's cheery demeanor. He knew better. There was a specific twitch in his fingers that meant Megumi should ready himself for a fight, so he discreetly summoned his shikigami, who hid in the darkest corners of the chapel, eyes fixed on their target as well. "You have two souls inside you, so I'm actually a little stumped! Because one's the purest I've ever seen;" Megumi jolted as Satoru actually reached up to push his blindfold up and off, his skin crawling. Gojo... Gojo never showed his eyes like that, not to strangers, what was happening- "and the other's The Kishin, Sukuna."

Megumi sucked in a surprised breath, turning back to the target with new eyes. Satoru was the strongest mortal, but Sukuna wasn't really a mortal, was he? Even Death himself couldn't kill The Kishin, could Satoru?

Yuji jolted when he heard someone call out to him, and he spun around, though he wasn't rearing to attack. He took a more defensive position, hands up even though he was being thanked for what he had done. "Uh, yeah, though it's not a problem-- caught the creep with some kid. He got spooked and ran home, though." He replied, and wasn't lying. Though it was limited, while Sukuna was in control, he could see about a mile's distance in radius around their body-- and he watched that boy's soul run to a different trio, and they came close, as if embracing. And, it was a welcome distraction from watching the Kishin do his messy work, much like one would watch a movie or play in a theater. Yuji rarely watched while they ate souls-- it really depended on how gruesome or troubling it was going to be. He's seen Sukuna once slice a Kishin Egg thrice laterally in an instant, the pieces slumping moments after before they began to spew blood.

However, the young man flinched and put his hands up higher when the white-haired man outed him as Sukuna's vessel, laughing nervously. "Y-yeah, uh.... that's a long, unpleasant story. Basically I've learned not every little old lady is nice and that she prolly won't give me a candy for thumping a would-be mugger good!! Found out she was a witch!!" He shuddered at the memory, then felt the hair on his neck stand on end behind the altar, so he stepped away from it slowly, carefully. He wasn't an idiot to ignore his basic instincts now. "To put it basically, I uh.... was forced to house Sukuna. Naturally he was mad about it and he killed her, and ate her, but I came back!! Uh, to the wheel, I mean. He tried to eat a few people but I wouldn't let him unless they were bad." He explained, hoping the two before him would believe him.

"Brat, you have no idea who these two are, do you?" Came a voice that echoed off the walls, seemingly from the young man's neck. "Learn to read the room-- they want to kill us." Naturally, Yuji paled at the thought, but he stayed defensive, smiling warily. "Y-you don't know that, right? They're not red!!" He then looked at the pair closely, before swallowing thickly. The raven-haired boy was fairly large, and shaped differently than the more common blues he's seen-- even darker in hue, too, but.... the older man with the blind fold had a stupidly huge soul, one the could easily fill half of the mass of that chapel if he took a few more steps inward, with a pale, almost white purple color. "They're different, brat. They hunt much like we do-- well, mostly that boy. He's the weapon between those two-- hmmm.... seems he's almost halfway there, and just needs a witch's soul to be a death scythe.... but he's even more tricky. He's a sorcerer, too." The Kishin explained, before his tone grew a bit more amused, excited, even. "He even has a few little friends surrounding us. As is, for a normal egg, this would be a bad situation. But for us?" He asked, before the mouth moved to Yuji's cheek, one of the extra set of eyes opening mockingly. "We'll be just fine. I have no intention of dying here."

"We are not fighting them!! We have a deal!!" Yuji made an attempt at glaring at that open eye and mouth, his body trembling faintly. "We do not eat anything aside from real food, egg-souls or witch souls!!" "So you expect me to let them kill us, then, brat?" The mouth bickered, glaring right back up at his host. "No!! We are not dying, and we are also not fighting!!" Yuji yelled back, his hands flexing as if he wanted to hit something. "You know damn well I will rip you from the wheel again if you try to hurt anyone!!" "Yeah, yeah, you and your annoying morality." The mouth groaned, before looking at the pair again, who may or may not be morbidly entertained at this point.

"Well? Are you planning to make an attempt on our life, or continue watching us bicker over what we're going to do?" Sukuna asked impatiently, clearly wanting something to happen sooner than later. "I for one won't care what you do, if you attack, then I'll be more than happy to squash you both like the miserable little pests you are. But this brat is too damn pristine for that. But, if you choose to let us go, then I don't have to worry about this brat complaining about not letting you two live, despite how you both clearly want us dead. I don't take kindly to those that think they have a snowball's chance in Hell at beating me." He warned, before he was so rudely slapped by Yuji, who looked utterly done with the other's threats.

"Cut. It. OUT ALREADY!!" He yelled, before taking a few deep breaths, then looking at the pair before him again, fear still in his eyes and heart, but also a resignation in that if he had to fight to live, he would. Who would want to die so willingly, when they could make good out of a curse thrust upon them? "So.... what now? Do you want to kill me, then?" He asked, tired, and rightfully apprehensive. "I don't want to hurt either of you two-- you guys eat eggs and witches, right? There's not a lot of you-- I've been around all over the place and I've never seen souls like yours." He explained, his heart racing almost painfully fast. "I'm only eating food and the eggs and witches-- it pisses him off, but at least I'm keeping him in check, right?" He asked, before swallowing thickly again. "If you want me to leave town, I will-- I've already cleared it out, anyways." He admitted, hoping he hadn't just fucked up there.
