Prophecies and Legacies - OC X Bakugou/Kirishima

"When did I say it was a good plan?" she spat back. "Answer me that! Go on. I'll wait."

[CRYBABY]

"So you're willing to die then? Great. I'll remember in the thick of battle next time." he growled, laying on his side facing the other way.

Don't listen to him, Yukiko, he always gets grumpy when we haven't eaten." the dragon tried to assure her. "I'll make sure we have something to eat when the sun rises."

[PheNix]

"Nighteye's special. He saved my life and I'd lay down my own for him if necessary. I don't expect you to understand, Bakugou. But we do need to be able to work together. It just makes sense. I want to rescue someone from a cruel King and you want his head on a pike. Working together is the best plan for that."

[CRYBABY]

"I know all too well the overwhelming feeling of wanting to exchange your life for another. I agreed to help and I don't go back on my word." The blond was harsh but that was his nature, the current banter between Mage and King was a sign of comfort from the Barbarian.

With a nod that she knew he couldn't see, she rummaged through her pack again and pulled out a red cloth bundle and a green one. "Whether it's my bread or something else, I need to eat. I have dried meat and hard cheese. You're both welcome to some of either," she turned to Kirishima. "You said you'd sit watch?" She held out the hunk of bread. "Do you want this to help you stay alert all night?"

[CRYBABY]

Kirishima's eyes lit up as he was offered a tasty smelling chunk of bread. "Yeah! Wow, that's so nice, Yukiko! Thank you." he flashed her a sharp smile and bit off a small piece of the bread. He began to sway from side to side happily. "Kat and I have some rations in our pack but he tends to prefer hunting for fresh meat on our adventures. Speaking of..." then he turned his attention to the blond. "Kat you should eat something."

"Did while you two were yapping."

His ruby eyes stared lovingly at his mate for a short while before returning to Yukiko. "Where'd ya learn to use magic like that?"

"From my father," Yukiko said as she broke off some of the cheese. She grabbed two pieces of dried meat and offered Kirishima one plus the cheese. “Not sure what rations you have but this is pork. It's great with the cheese. I won't be offended if you decline, though.”

[CRYBABY]

Kirishima's ruby eyes lit up, and if the young mage looked close enough she could see drool forming at the corners of his mouth at the delicious offering. The pork smelled heavenly to the dragon, and although dragons weren't super keen on eating dairy products, Eijirou was accustomed to human traditions thanks his unusual upbringing. "Thanks!" he bowed his head slightly before taking the meat and cheese from his new companion. He took a bite, breaking both the cheese and pork in half, ate his portion, and crawled over to the grumpy blond. "Have some, Bakugou, it's delicious."

Without much argument, as it was futile to argue about food with Kirishima, the future King took what he was offered and began to eat. It appeared that he wasn't asleep even though he had feigned unconsciousness while the other two spoke.

"We brought along some dried meat as well, berries, and nuts. Bakugou's favorite. But we are both great at hunting so we should have many fresh meals as we traverse together!" He flicked the end of his tail up and down a bit before deciding to inquire. "So what's this Seer like?"

"I can help with foraging, too. I've been trained to know what plants are safe to eat, what aren't and what are medicinal." Yukiko leaned her head back onto the canyon wall and looked skyward. “As for Nighteye? He’s one of the most kindest, pure-hearted people you’ll ever meet. He hides it behind a stern exterior but he’s actually a great person. He’s also one of the best Seers in all of Nagano. He got King Yagi’s attention at a young age and has been working for him for longer than I’ve known him.” She started to eat her cheese and dried meat. "He and I are really close," she said softly.

[CRYBABY]

"He sounds great. Don't worry, we'll get him back!" the dragon assured with a toothy smile.

The next morning:

Katsuki was up before he sun. He hadn't slept well, he never did when he wasn't able to lay against his dragon companion but they were with a new comer and he wasn't too sure about exposing their.. closeness to her just yet. It was fine anyway, Bakugou had gone longer days without sleep. He was off and hunting without waking a mouse.

When the blond had returned, he noticed that Kirishima was gone. Perhaps the big oaf decided to go look for a spring or river for a bath. Typical. For a smelly lizard he cared a lot about his physical appearance. Nevertheless Katsuki didn't complain, Ei looked.. great. With the flick of some flint he was able to start a fire and begin roasting the rabbit he had caught after a swift skin. That's when he decided to wake up the girl. She looked so peaceful curled up cuddling her knees .. a little too cute. He scowled in an attempt to hide any other foreign emotion he wasn't quite used to showing. "Oi. Wake up."
